7. Maintenance

  • Always use the original car charger and accessories to prevent damage or malfunction.
  • Do not attempt to modify the wiring or internal components of the device without professional guidance, as this may lead to abnormalities or damage.
  • Keep the lenses clean for optimal recording quality. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the lenses.
  • Ensure the memory card is properly inserted and formatted periodically to maintain performance.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Device not turning on: Ensure the car charger is securely connected to both the DVR and the vehicle's power socket. Check if the vehicle's power socket is active. If issues persist, try pressing the Reset Hole.
  • Unable to set time/date: Access the menu settings (long-press M button when not recording) and navigate to the date/time settings. Adjust as needed and save.
  • Rear camera guidelines not appearing: Check the menu settings for options related to reversing guidelines or parking assist lines and ensure they are enabled.
  • Display always on/off: Check the display settings in the menu. There may be options to adjust screen timeout or to manually turn the display on/off.
  • No continuous recording: The built-in battery is primarily for saving time/date settings. For continuous operation, the DVR must be connected to the car charger.
  • Rear camera not displaying when reversing: Verify that the red wire of the rear camera is correctly connected to the positive power supply of the vehicle's reversing light.
  • Video playback issues: Ensure you are in playback mode (short-press M button when not recording). If files are corrupted, try formatting the memory card (this will erase all data).
  • Memory card not recognized or recording errors: Ensure you are using a high-speed Class 10 memory card. The maximum supported external memory is 32GB. Cards larger than 32GB may not be compatible.

9. User Tips

  • Memory Card: Always use a high-speed Class 10 (or higher) Micro SD card for reliable recording performance. The device supports up to 32GB.
  • Power Supply: The internal battery is small and only for saving settings. For continuous recording, the device must be plugged into your car's power outlet using the provided charger.
  • 24-Hour Monitoring: If you require 24-hour parking monitoring, a special hardwire kit or dedicated power supply (often sold separately) is necessary to provide constant power to the DVR.
  • Rear Camera Wiring: For the automatic reversing display feature to work, ensure the rear camera's red wire is correctly connected to the positive lead of your car's reverse light.
  • Regular Formatting: Periodically format your memory card through the DVR's menu to prevent data corruption and ensure smooth operation.
