5. Setup
5.1. App Download and Installation
Download the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" app from your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store for Android, Apple App Store for iOS).
5.2. Device Pairing
- Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. (5GHz networks are not supported).
- Open the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app and register or log in to your account.
- Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device.
- Follow the in-app instructions to put the circuit breaker into pairing mode. This usually involves pressing and holding the main button on the device until the signal light blinks rapidly.
- Select the appropriate device type (e.g., "Circuit Breaker" or "Switch") in the app and confirm the blinking indicator.
- Enter your WiFi network password and proceed with pairing. Once successfully paired, the device will appear in your app.
5.3. Voice Assistant Integration (Alexa/Google Assistant)
- Ensure your TXCB1 device is successfully paired with the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app.
- Open the Amazon Alexa or Google Home app.
- Navigate to the "Skills & Games" (Alexa) or "Works with Google" (Google Home) section.
- Search for "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" and enable the skill/service.
- Link your Smart Life/Tuya Smart account when prompted.
- Discover devices. Your TXCB1 smart circuit breaker should now be controllable via voice commands.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Remote On/Off Control
From the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app, tap on your TXCB1 device. You will see a large power button icon. Tap it to turn the connected circuit on or off remotely.
6.2. Timer Settings
The app provides various timing options:
- Timing Mode: Set specific times for the device to turn on or off (e.g., turn on living room lights at 18:00).
- Countdown Mode: Set a countdown timer after which the device will change its state (e.g., turn off bedroom lights after 20 minutes).
- Cycle Time Mode: Schedule repetitive on/off cycles (e.g., turn on for 1 hour, then off for 30 minutes, repeating daily).

6.3. Real-time Metering (TXCB1-TWM & TXCB1-VAP)
For models with metering capabilities, the app displays real-time data:
- Voltage (V): Current line voltage.
- Current (A): Current flowing through the circuit.
- Power (W): Instantaneous power consumption.
- Total Energy (kWh): Accumulated energy consumption.

6.4. Protection Settings (TXCB1-VAP)
The TXCB1-VAP model allows you to set thresholds for various protections:
- Over-Current: Set a maximum current threshold (Range: 1-63A). If the current exceeds this, the breaker will trip.
- Over-Voltage: Set a maximum voltage threshold (Range: 220-265V).
- Under-Voltage: Set a minimum voltage threshold (Range: 76-240V).
- High Power: Set a maximum power threshold (Range: 1-26KW).
The alarm function is automatically turned on after setting the threshold, and the protection tripping switch can be turned on or off within the app.
