1. Introduction

The VAORLO M16/M16 Pro is a versatile Bluetooth audio adapter designed to enhance your audio experience by providing both Bluetooth receiving (RX) and transmitting (TX) capabilities. Equipped with a Bluetooth 5.1 chip and DSP decoding, it offers high-fidelity audio quality with strong compatibility and stability. This device supports various audio interfaces, including 3.5mm AUX, 2RCA, USB, TF card, FM, 6.5mm MIC, and Coaxial, with an Optical interface available in the M16 Pro version. It allows you to upgrade traditional wired audio systems to wireless, connect your TV or PC to Bluetooth headphones/speakers, and even enjoy karaoke with its built-in microphone support.

3.1 Key Features

3.2 Component Identification

Familiarize yourself with the various ports and controls on your VAORLO M16/M16 Pro adapter:

• MIC: 6.5mm Microphone input port.
• MODE Switch (TX/RX): Toggles between Bluetooth Transmitter (TX) and Bluetooth Receiver (RX) modes.
• GAIN Switch: Adjusts the audio gain (three levels).
• IR: Infrared receiver for the remote control.
• Previous Song Button: Skips to the previous track.
• Next Song Button: Skips to the next track.
• Multi-Function Knob (VOL): Rotates to adjust volume, press to play/pause, long press to switch signal source, rotate to power on/off.
• TF Card Slot: For inserting TF (MicroSD) cards for music playback.
• U-Disk Port: For inserting USB flash drives for music playback.
• COAXIAL IN: Coaxial audio input interface.
• L-AUDIO-R (RCA): Left and Right RCA audio input/output channels.

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for initial setup of your VAORLO M16/M16 Pro adapter.

4.1 Powering On/Off and Charging

1. Power On: Rotate the multi-function knob (VOL) clockwise to turn on the device. The indicator light will illuminate.
2. Power Off: Rotate the multi-function knob (VOL) counter-clockwise until it clicks to turn off the device.
3. Charging: Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the DC 5V port on the adapter and to a 5V USB power source. The indicator light will show charging status. A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours.

4.2 Mode Selection

Use the MODE switch (TX/RX) to select the desired operating mode:

• RX (Receiver) Mode: For receiving Bluetooth audio from your phone/tablet and outputting it to wired speakers, headphones, or amplifiers.
• TX (Transmitter) Mode: For transmitting audio from wired devices (like TV, PC) to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Bluetooth Receiver (RX) Mode

In RX mode, the adapter receives Bluetooth audio from your mobile device and outputs it to a wired audio system.

1. Set the MODE switch to RX.
2. Connect the adapter to your wired speaker, home stereo, or amplifier using the 3.5mm AUX cable or RCA audio cable.
3. NFC Pairing (for compatible phones): Enable NFC on your smartphone. Touch your phone to the NFC area on the adapter. Your phone should automatically connect to the adapter.
4. Manual Bluetooth Pairing: On your smartphone or tablet, search for Bluetooth devices and select "VAORLO M16" or "VAORLO M16 Pro" to connect.
5. Once connected, play audio on your mobile device, and it will be streamed wirelessly to your connected wired audio system.

5.2 Bluetooth Transmitter (TX) Mode

In TX mode, the adapter transmits audio from a wired source to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

1. Set the MODE switch to TX.
2. Connect the adapter to your audio source (e.g., TV, PC, projector) using the appropriate cable: 3.5mm AUX, Coaxial, or Optical (M16 Pro only).
3. Ensure your Bluetooth headphones or speakers are in pairing mode.
4. The adapter will automatically search for and connect to nearby Bluetooth audio devices.
5. Once connected, audio from your source device will be transmitted wirelessly to your Bluetooth headphones/speakers.

5.3 U-Disk/TF Card Playback

The adapter supports direct playback of music files from a USB flash drive or TF card.

1. Insert a USB flash drive into the U-Disk port or a TF card into the TF card slot.
2. The adapter will automatically detect and begin playing music files.
3. Use the Previous/Next Song buttons or the remote control to navigate tracks.

5.4 Microphone Usage (Karaoke)

Connect a 6.5mm microphone to the adapter for singing and karaoke.

1. Connect your 6.5mm microphone to the MIC port on the adapter.
2. Adjust the microphone gain using the GAIN switch to prevent howling and optimize sound.
3. The adapter's built-in anti-howling design helps ensure clear audio.

5.5 Remote Control Operation

The included infrared remote control (optional) allows for convenient operation from up to 10 meters away.

• Power Button: Turns the device on/off (Note: Remote does not support power on/off, use the knob).
• Signal Button: Switches between input signal sources.
• BT/USB/OPT/COA/AUX/TF Buttons: Directly select the desired input source.
• Volume +/-: Adjusts the master volume.
• Previous/Next Track: Skips between songs.
• Play/Pause: Controls media playback.
• EQ: Cycles through equalizer presets.
• MIC +/-: Adjusts microphone volume.
• ECHO +/-: Adjusts microphone echo effect.
• Number Buttons (0-9): For direct track selection (if supported by media).

6. Maintenance

• Keep the device dry. Avoid exposure to moisture or liquids.
• Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
• Ensure proper ventilation and do not block any openings.

7. Troubleshooting

Important Note: This VAORLO Multi-function Bluetooth audio transmitter receiver is designed solely for audio transmission. It cannot be used for keyboard, mouse, or file transfer functions.
