1. Product Overview

The HAMROLTE HD 1080P WiFi Outdoor Bullet IP Camera is designed for reliable outdoor surveillance, offering full HD video, night vision, audio recording, and motion detection capabilities. It supports WiFi connectivity and is compatible with the iCSee mobile application for remote monitoring.

3. Setup Instructions

3.1 SD Card Installation (Optional)

If you plan to use local storage, install the memory card before powering on the device. The camera supports up to a 128GB TF card. Memory cards do not support hot-swapping; always power off the device before inserting or removing the card.

  1. Carefully unscrew the front cover of the camera.
  2. Locate the SD card slot on the internal circuit board.
  3. Insert the TF card into the slot until it clicks into place.
  4. Carefully reassemble the camera, ensuring the front cover is securely fastened.

3.2 Power On

Connect the camera to the provided 12V 1A power adapter. Once powered on, the device will emit a voice message: "system starting up, wait to be configured, Wait for the connection, please configure the network according to the Instructions." If there is no prompt sound for an extended period, press and hold the camera's Reset button until you hear "Restore factory settings, please do not power off" and release it. This will restore the camera to factory settings, after which you can proceed with network configuration.

3.3 App Download and Installation

The camera uses the "iCSee" application for mobile monitoring.

  • Option 1: Scan the QR code provided in Figure 3 to download the "iCSee" App.
  • Option 2: Search for "iCSee" in your device's App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and download it.

3.4 Network Configuration

Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. This camera does not support 5GHz WiFi.

3.4.1 Bluetooth Network Configuration (if supported)

  1. Connect your phone to a WiFi network and enable Bluetooth.
  2. Open the iCSee app, register an account, and log in.
  3. Click the "+" button in the top right corner of the screen.
  4. Click on the main interface to search for found devices. If the camera is not found, turn your phone's Bluetooth off for 5 seconds and then back on, or long-press the camera's Reset button to reset and search again.
  5. Enter your wireless router password and click "Confirm."
  6. Wait for the camera network configuration. When the camera emits the voice message "connecting, please wait, connect router successfully," the network configuration is successful.
  7. After successful configuration, set the camera name.
  8. Follow the app's guidance to complete the setup. The device will appear in the device list, allowing you to access the real-time preview and settings.

3.4.2 WiFi Network Configuration (if Bluetooth fails or not supported)

  1. Connect your phone to a 2.4GHz WiFi network.
  2. Log in to the iCSee App, click "+" to add devices, and select "WiFi Camera."
  3. Set network configuration according to the camera's voice prompts and the app's step-by-step guide. When the camera emits a "Connect router successfully" prompt, the network configuration is complete.
  4. After successful configuration, follow the app instructions to set the camera password and name.
  5. The device will appear in the device list, allowing you to access the real-time preview and settings.

3.5 Physical Installation

The camera is designed for side installation and is IP65 waterproof, making it suitable for outdoor environments. Choose a suitable location with good WiFi signal coverage and a clear view of the area you wish to monitor.

  1. Mount the adjustable bracket securely to a wall or ceiling using the provided screws and wall plugs.
  2. Attach the camera to the bracket and adjust its angle for optimal viewing.
  3. Ensure all cable connections are secure and protected, especially the power connection, using the waterproof lid if necessary.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Mobile Monitoring

Once the camera is connected to the network, you can monitor it remotely using the iCSee app on your iOS or Android device. Open the app and select your camera from the device list to view the live feed, access recordings, and adjust settings.

4.2 Audio Record

The camera features a built-in microphone to record audio along with video, providing a more comprehensive surveillance experience. This feature is automatically enabled when recording.

4.3 Motion Detection and Alerts

Configure motion detection settings within the iCSee app. When motion is detected, the camera can send real-time notifications to your smartphone or email, helping you stay informed of any activity.

4.4 Night Vision

4.5 Cloud Storage

The camera supports cloud storage for secure and convenient video backup. To activate, click the "cloud" icon in the device list interface within the iCSee app and follow the in-app instructions to select a suitable storage package.

4.6 ONVIF Support

This camera supports ONVIF 2.0 protocol, allowing it to work with most third-party ONVIF-compatible Network Video Recorders (NVRs). For optimal compatibility, it is recommended to use it with HAMROLTE NVRs.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens and housing with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear image quality. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • SD Card: If using an SD card, periodically check its status via the app. Replace the card if it shows signs of degradation or if storage capacity becomes an issue. Always power off the camera before inserting or removing the SD card.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the iCSee app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Environmental Conditions: While the camera is IP65 waterproof, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions beyond its operating temperature range (-15°C to 50°C).

6. Troubleshooting

Q: The camera is not connecting or is offline.
  • Check if the camera's power supply is connected correctly and if the router's network is functioning normally.
  • Unplug and re-plug the camera's power adapter to restart the camera.
  • Restore the camera to factory settings by pressing and holding the Reset button until you hear the voice prompt.
Q: Is a 5GHz router supported?

The camera supports 2.4GHz WiFi networks only. If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks with the same SSID (network name), the camera should connect directly. If they have different SSIDs (e.g., "MyWiFi-2.4G" and "MyWiFi-5G"), ensure your mobile phone is connected to the 2.4GHz network before configuring the camera.

Q: How does the camera store video?

Video can be stored in two ways:

  • Local TF card storage: Supports up to 128GB. Older videos are automatically overwritten when the card is full.
  • Cloud storage: A safe and convenient option, accessible via the iCSee app.
