5.2 Connecting the Limit Switch

The control board supports both mechanical and magnetic limit switches. Ensure the limit switch is properly connected and functioning. The video demonstrates connecting a magnetic limit switch and verifying its operation.

Video 1: Demonstration of connecting and testing the magnetic limit switch with the control board. Observe the LED indicators for proper function.

Steps for Limit Switch Connection and Test:

  1. Connect the limit switch wires to the designated terminals on the control board.
  2. Ensure the light on the control board corresponding to the limit switch is ON when the switch is activated (e.g., when the magnet is near the sensor).
  3. Test the limit switch by manually moving the magnet past the sensor. The corresponding LED on the board should toggle ON/OFF.

5.3 Remote Control Pairing

To pair a remote control with the control board:

  1. Press the "LEARN" button on the control board (refer to Figure 1 for location). The learning LED should illuminate.
  2. While the learning LED is on, press any button on your remote control. The LED should flash or change state to indicate successful pairing.
  3. Test the remote control by pressing the programmed button. The gate motor should respond (e.g., start moving).

8. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Gate does not respond to remote control.Remote not paired, remote battery low/dead, or incorrect remote.Re-pair the remote control (Section 5.3). Replace remote battery. Ensure you are using the compatible remote control.
Gate does not stop at desired position.Limit switch not properly connected or faulty.Check limit switch wiring and functionality (Section 5.2). Adjust limit switch position if necessary.
Gate motor does not run.No power to the board, motor wiring issue, or safety sensor activated.Check power supply. Verify motor wiring. Ensure photocell or other safety sensors are not obstructed or faulty.
