Figure 5: Water Resistance Guidelines
Important Notices:
- Do NOT press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water.
- Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam (e.g., hot showers, saunas), as this can compromise the water seals.
- Sudden temperature changes can cause condensation inside the watch. If this occurs, have the watch checked by a professional.
8. Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and band regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to solvents, detergents, perfumes, or other chemical sprays, as they can damage the case, band, or seals.
- Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold) for prolonged periods.
- Impact: While the watch is shock-resistant, avoid severe impacts or drops to prevent damage.
- Battery Replacement: When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it's time to replace the battery. This should ideally be done by a qualified watch technician to ensure water resistance is maintained. The battery code is CR2016.
9. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Display is blank or dim. | Low battery. | Replace the battery (CR2016). |
| Time is incorrect. | Time not set correctly or accidental adjustment. | Refer to Section 5: Initial Setup to reset the time. |
| Water inside the watch (condensation). | Exposure to extreme temperature changes or damaged seal. | Stop using the watch immediately and take it to a professional for inspection and repair. |
| Buttons are unresponsive. | Watch might be in a locked mode or battery is very low. | Try pressing the MODE button to cycle modes. If still unresponsive, replace battery. |
10. User Tips
- The LED backlight is useful in dark environments but consumes battery. Use it sparingly.
- Regularly check the time and date settings, especially after battery changes or if the watch has been stored for a long time.
- For optimal comfort, ensure the silica gel band is adjusted to fit snugly but not too tightly on your wrist.
