7. Operating Instructions

The scanner offers multiple scanning modes to suit different operational needs.

7.1 Scanning Modes

  • Manual Trigger Mode: Press the scan button to activate the laser and read a barcode. Release the button to stop scanning.
  • Continuous Scanning Mode: The scanner continuously emits the laser and reads barcodes without needing to press the button for each scan. This mode is ideal for high-volume scanning.
  • Auto-Sensing Scanning Mode: The scanner automatically detects a barcode within its field of view and activates the laser to scan it. This allows for hands-free operation when placed on the charging dock or a stand.

To switch between these modes, you will need to scan specific setting barcodes provided in the full user manual.

7.2 Storage Mode

When operating out of range of Bluetooth or 2.4G wireless connectivity, the scanner can store up to 100,000 barcodes internally. To upload the stored data to your connected device, scan the 'Manual data upload' barcode (found in the full user manual) once you are back in range and connected.

  • Storage: Store the scanner in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Battery: For long-term storage, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to preserve its lifespan.

9. Troubleshooting

Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter:

9.1 Some barcodes cannot be read, why?

  • Dirty or Unclear Barcodes: Ensure the barcode is clean, clear, and not damaged.
  • Digital Barcodes on Screens: Digital barcodes displayed on phones, computers, or tablets can be read by CCD or 2D scanners. Laser scanners may have difficulty with these. Ensure you are using the correct scanner type for the barcode source.
  • Specific Barcode Types Not Enabled: Some barcode types are not enabled by default. You may need to activate a specific barcode type by scanning the corresponding setting barcode in the full user manual. If unsure, contact customer support.

9.2 Is there any barcodes to apply or remove Enter for suffix?

Yes, you can refer to the 'Common Function Barcodes' section in the full user manual to reverse the setting or contact customer support for assistance.

9.3 The data cannot be sent to my computer. Why?

If you have turned off the inventory mode, the scanner will store your scans internally instead of instantly transmitting them. To send the scanned codes to your connected device, you need to scan the 'Manual data upload' barcode (found in the full user manual).

9.4 How to solve the messy code problem encountered while using other foreign languages?

The default language is English. Please refer to the 'Language Setting' chapter in the full user manual to change the setting for proper character encoding.
