7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your ZSUS Portable Monitor, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  1. Monitor without display or flashing:

This may be due to insufficient power. Please power the monitor with the AC adapter.

  2. Monitor turns off after a boot screen:

The monitor may not be receiving a valid source. Check if the HDMI or Type-C cable is connected correctly and if the connected device is running normally. Ensure you have selected the correct input source in the OSD, or set it to 'Auto'. The monitor will hibernate if no device is connected.

  3. No display after Type-C connection:

Verify that your mobile phone model is on the list of supported devices and that its Type-C port is a full-featured port (supports video output). If it only supports charging, it cannot be used for video transfer.

  4. What is a full-featured Type-C device?

A full-featured Type-C interface can transmit video, audio, and touch signals simultaneously. This allows for a single-cable connection to the monitor for display and interaction. Ordinary Type-C ports only provide power and cannot be used for video transmission.

  5. Speakers are not producing sound:

Check if the monitor's volume is muted or set to '0' in the OSD menu. Also, check the volume settings on your connected device.

  6. Power LED is not ON:

Press the Power Button to ensure the monitor is ON. Check if the Type-C port is connected to a signal source and if the signal source is active.

  7. Power LED is blue, but no screen image:

Ensure both the monitor and the computer are ON. Verify that the USB Type-C cable is properly connected. Inspect the signal cable for any bent pins. Try connecting the computer to another monitor to confirm it is working correctly.

  8. Screen image is too light or dark:

Adjust the brightness settings using the Wave Wheel button.

  9. Screen image bounces or has a wave pattern:

Ensure the USB Type-C cable is properly connected. Move any nearby electrical devices that might cause interference.

  10. Screen image has color defects (e.g., white does not look white):

Inspect the USB Type-C cable and ensure none of the pins are bent.

  11. Monitor automatically turns off:

This can happen if the supplied power is insufficient. Check if the device powering the monitor has enough power. Also, if the signal source enters sleep mode, the monitor will automatically turn off after 15 seconds to save power.

8. User Tips

  • Model Differences: The "14AT" model includes touch functionality, while the "14A" model does not. This is the primary difference between the two versions.
  • Smartphone Compatibility: The monitor is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S series (e.g., S21 Ultra) and supports features like Samsung DeX when connected via a full-function USB-C port.
  • Mac Mini Compatibility: The monitor works with Mac Mini devices, likely via HDMI or a suitable USB-C adapter.
  • Power Management: If experiencing power issues or flickering, ensure you are using the provided AC adapter, especially when connecting to power-intensive devices or when the source device's USB-C output is limited.
  • Language Settings: The OSD menu language can be changed. Refer to the OSD menu section for navigation.
  • No Wireless Connection: This monitor requires a wired connection (USB-C or HDMI) for display and functionality. It does not support wireless display.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Cleaning the Casing: Wipe the monitor's casing with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the monitor in its protective case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Cable Care: Avoid bending or twisting cables excessively to prevent damage.
  • Screen Protector: Utilize the included screen protector to prevent scratches and damage to the display.
