9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your TV Box, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Frequent Reboots: If your TV box reboots frequently, try disabling the Simplink/CEC function in your TV settings. For LG TVs, this function must be disabled.
  • Netflix/Streaming App Compatibility: Some users report issues with Netflix or other streaming apps stating "version not supported" or "not compatible." Ensure you have the latest official versions of these apps from the Google Play Store. If issues persist, contact the app developer or the TV Box manufacturer for potential firmware updates.
  • No Sound from External Drive: If you connect an external drive and experience no sound during playback, check the audio settings on your TV Box and TV. Ensure the correct audio output is selected and that the external drive's audio format is supported.
  • Wi-Fi Connection Issues: If you cannot connect to Wi-Fi (2.4GHz or 5GHz), ensure your Wi-Fi password is correct and that the TV Box is within range of your router. Try restarting both the TV Box and your router. For optimal stability, a wired Ethernet connection is recommended.
  • Boot Loop: If the box is stuck in a boot loop, it may indicate a firmware issue. You might need to perform a factory reset or install a fresh firmware update. Refer to the official support channels for instructions on how to do this safely.
  • Sound Control Issues: If the remote control's volume buttons stop working or there's no sound upon startup, try restarting the TV Box. If the problem persists, check for remote control battery issues or a system update.

10. User Tips

  • CEC/Simplink Interference: If your TV Box frequently reboots, especially with LG TVs, disable the Simplink/CEC function in your TV settings. This often resolves unexpected reboots.
  • Streaming Services: For Prime Video and Netflix, ensure you have active subscriptions and download the official applications from the Google Play Store. Some versions may require specific firmware or app updates.
  • Network Stability: While Wi-Fi is convenient, a wired Ethernet connection generally provides a more stable and faster internet experience, especially for 4K/8K streaming.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check for OTA (Over-The-Air) updates in the system settings. Keeping your firmware up-to-date can resolve bugs and improve performance.
  • Remote Control Options: If you have the G10S Voice Air Mouse, utilize its air mouse and voice assistant features for easier navigation and control.
