6. Maintenance and Care
6.1 Water Resistance (50M)
Your SKMEI 1335 watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for daily use, such as washing hands, being exposed to rain, and swimming in shallow water. However, it is NOT suitable for hot water activities like bathing, showering, or diving, as water vapor can penetrate the watch and cause damage.
Figure 6: Water resistance guidelines for the watch.
6.2 General Care
- Clean the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and sweat.
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes.
- Do not expose the watch to chemical substances such as perfumes, solvents, detergents, or other corrosive daily necessities, as these can corrode the plating and finish of the watch surface.
- Avoid strong impacts or dropping the watch, despite its shock-resistant feature.
6.3 Battery
The watch comes with a battery included. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
7. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
- Time is incorrect: Re-adjust the time following the instructions in Section 5.2. If the issue persists, the watch module may require inspection.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though not a stated feature for this model). If unresponsive, a reset might be needed (consult customer service).
- Water inside the watch: If water or condensation appears inside the watch, stop using it immediately and seek professional repair to prevent further damage.
For any complex issues or repairs, please contact the seller's customer service.
8. User Tips
- Regularly check the clasp to ensure it is securely fastened, especially during physical activities, to prevent accidental loss.
- Utilize the dual time function when traveling or communicating with individuals in different time zones for convenience.
- The EL Light is designed for temporary illumination; prolonged use will drain the battery faster.
9. Warranty and Support
For information regarding warranty coverage, returns, or technical support, please refer to the purchase documentation or contact the seller directly. Keep your proof of purchase for any warranty claims.
