7. Troubleshooting
- No Display Output:
- Ensure the HDMI/Thunderbolt 3 cable is securely connected to both the hub and the external display.
- Check your MacBook's display settings to ensure the external monitor is detected and configured correctly.
- Try a different HDMI/Thunderbolt 3 cable or external display to rule out cable/display issues.
- SSD Not Appearing:
- Ensure the MINIX NEO SD4 is firmly connected to your MacBook's USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports.
- Check Disk Utility on your MacBook to see if the drive is recognized but not mounted.
- Restart your MacBook with the hub connected.
- USB Devices Not Working:
- Verify that the USB device is properly inserted into the USB 3.0 port.
- Test the USB device directly with your MacBook (if possible) to ensure it's functional.
- Some high-power USB devices may require external power if your MacBook is not providing sufficient power through the hub.
- Slow Data Transfer Speeds:
- Ensure you are using high-quality cables for all connections.
- Verify that the connected device supports the advertised speeds (e.g., a USB 2.0 device will not achieve USB 3.0 speeds).
- Avoid transferring multiple large files simultaneously if you experience slowdowns.
8. User Tips
- For optimal performance and stability, ensure the MINIX NEO SD4 is fully seated in your MacBook's USB-C ports.
- When using the Thunderbolt 3 port for power delivery, always use your MacBook's original power adapter for best results.
- To prevent data loss, always safely eject the built-in SSD before disconnecting the hub from your MacBook.
- Keep the hub's ports clean and free of dust to ensure reliable connections.
9. Care and Maintenance
- Keep the device away from water, fire, and high-temperature environments.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
- Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
