1. Safety Information & Precautions

  • Water Resistance: This watch is rated for 3ATM (30 meters) water resistance. It is suitable for daily use, splash/rain resistant. It is NOT suitable for showering with hot water, bathing, swimming, or diving. Water vapor can enter the watch and cause damage.
  • Chemical Exposure: Avoid exposing the watch to chemicals, cosmetics, or corrosive daily necessities. These substances can corrode the plating color on the watch surface.
  • Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for prolonged periods, as this can affect battery life and movement accuracy.
  • Impact: While the watch is shock-resistant, avoid severe impacts or dropping it, which could damage internal components or the glass.

5. Maintenance & Care

  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges. For the stainless steel band, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid Chemicals: As mentioned in safety, keep the watch away from perfumes, solvents, detergents, and other chemicals to prevent damage to the finish and seals.
  • Battery Replacement: The watch uses a quartz movement powered by a battery. When the watch stops or the second hand starts skipping, it's time for a battery replacement. This should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and function. The battery code is SR626SW.
  • Storage: When not wearing the watch for extended periods, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong magnetic fields.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running:
    • Check if the crown is fully pushed in.
    • The battery may be depleted. Refer to 'Battery Replacement' in the Maintenance section.
  • Date/Week not changing correctly:
    • Ensure the time is set correctly, including AM/PM. The date/week changes around midnight.
    • Manually adjust the date/week using the crown as described in the 'Setup' section.
  • Condensation inside the watch: This indicates a breach in the water resistance. Avoid further contact with water and seek professional service immediately to prevent internal damage.
