3. Package Contents
Ensure all items are present in the package:
- 1x Tuya WiFi Temperature and Humidity Sensor (batteries not included)
- 1x Sticker for mounting
- 1x User Manual
4. Setup Instructions
4.1. App Installation and Registration
- Scan the QR code provided in the manual or on the product packaging, or search for "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" in the Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS) to download and install the application.
- Open the app and register a new account using your email address. If you already have an account, log in.
4.2. Device Pairing (Bluetooth Mode)
The sensor uses a WiFi+Bluetooth dual mode for faster network connection. Bluetooth is used for the initial pairing process, not for standalone operation.
- First, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone.
- Open the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app.
- Remove the back cover of the sensor and insert two AAA 1.5V batteries (not included).
- Press and hold the pairing button inside the battery compartment for approximately 5 seconds. The LED indicator on the front of the sensor will flash rapidly.
- In the app, tap the "+" icon (usually in the top right corner) to add a new device. The app will begin "Discovering Devices...".
- Once the sensor is discovered, tap "Add" next to its entry. The device will automatically connect to your home WiFi network.
- After successful pairing, you can rename the device within the app for easier identification.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Real-time Monitoring
Once connected, open the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app to view the current temperature and humidity readings from your sensor. The app provides a clear interface to display these values.

5.2. Temperature and Humidity Curve
The app records historical temperature and humidity data, presenting it in graphical form. This allows you to easily track changes over time and understand environmental trends.

5.3. Alarm Management
You can set custom high and low temperature/humidity thresholds within the app. If the environmental conditions exceed these preset values, the app will push an alarm notification to your phone.

5.4. Intelligent Linkage (Smart Scenes)
The sensor can be integrated with other smart devices in your home to create automated scenes. For example:
- If the room temperature exceeds 35℃, automatically turn on your smart air conditioner.
- If the humidity drops below 20% RH, automatically activate your smart humidifier.
Note: This function requires compatible smart devices such as a universal infrared remote control or a WiFi smart switch.

5.5. Temperature Unit Selection
You can switch the temperature display unit between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) within the app settings. To ensure the change takes effect quickly, temporarily set the data update frequency to 1 minute, then revert to your preferred frequency after the unit has updated.

5.6. Voice Control
The sensor is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home Assistant. You can ask your voice assistant for the current temperature and humidity readings.

5.7. Device Sharing
You can share access to your sensor with family members through the app, allowing them to also monitor the ambient environment.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Battery Replacement
The sensor is powered by two AAA 1.5V batteries. The app includes a low-battery reminder function. When the battery is low, replace both batteries with new ones. Ensure correct polarity when inserting.
6.2. Cleaning
Wipe the sensor with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse the device in water.
6.3. Placement
For accurate readings, place the sensor away from direct sunlight, heat sources, air conditioning vents, or areas with strong drafts.

7. Troubleshooting
- Sensor not connecting to WiFi: Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone during the initial pairing process. Check if the sensor's LED indicator is flashing rapidly during pairing.
- Inaccurate readings: Verify the sensor is placed in an appropriate location, away from direct heat, cold, or drafts. Allow some time for the sensor to stabilize after placement.
- No alarm notifications: Check your alarm settings in the app to ensure the temperature/humidity thresholds are correctly configured and that app notifications are enabled on your phone.
- Battery drains quickly: The data update frequency impacts battery life. Adjust the "Temperature report" and "Humidity report" intervals in the app settings to a longer duration (e.g., 120 minutes) to conserve battery.
8. User Tips
- Optimizing Battery Life: The battery life of the sensor is directly affected by how frequently it reports data. If you need longer battery life, set the temperature and humidity report cycles in the app to a longer interval, such as 120 minutes.
- Quick Unit Conversion: When switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit, temporarily set the data update frequency to 1 minute. Once the unit has updated in the app, you can revert to your desired longer update frequency.
