4. Product Overview

The DEPSTECH DS520 series endoscope camera features a 5-inch IPS color LCD for real-time HD observation. It supports taking pictures and videos, and comes with either a dual-lens or triple-lens probe for comprehensive viewing.

4.2 Dual Lens (DS520DL) vs. Triple Lens (DS520TL)

The DS520 series offers two main configurations:

  • DS520DL (Dual Lens): Features a front camera and one side camera. Images can be viewed in front, side, or split-screen modes.
  • DS520TL (Triple Lens): Features a front camera and two side cameras (Side B and Side C). Images can be viewed in front, side B, side C, or split-screen modes.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the endoscope camera using the provided charge cable. Connect the charge cable to the device and a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.

5.2 Inserting the TF Card

The 32GB TF card is pre-installed. If you need to remove or re-insert it, locate the TF card slot on the side of the device. Gently push the card until it clicks into place. To remove, push again to eject.

5.3 Attaching the Camera Probe

The camera probe cable is detachable. Align the connector of the camera probe with the port on the main unit and push firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure a secure connection for stable image transmission.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (usually marked with a power symbol) for a few seconds to turn the device on. The DEPSTECH logo will appear on the screen. To turn off, press and hold the power button again.

6.2 Basic Controls

The device features several buttons for navigation and control:

  • OK Button: Confirms selections or takes a photo/starts video recording.
  • Up/Down/Left/Right Arrows: Navigate menus and adjust settings.
  • Settings Button (Gear Icon): Access the device settings menu.
  • Photo/Video Mode Button: Switches between photo and video recording modes.
  • LED Brightness Adjustment: Use dedicated buttons or menu options to adjust the intensity of the LED lights on the probe.

6.3 Using the Camera Probe

Carefully insert the camera probe into the area you wish to inspect. The flexible semi-rigid cable allows you to maneuver the probe into tight spaces.

6.4 Adjusting LED Lights

The camera probe is equipped with adjustable LED lights. Use the designated buttons on the device to cycle through different brightness levels to achieve optimal illumination for your inspection.

6.5 Taking Photos and Recording Videos

  • Photo Mode: Switch to photo mode using the dedicated button. Press the OK button to capture an image.
  • Video Mode: Switch to video mode. Press the OK button to start recording, and press it again to stop.
  • Captured images and videos are saved to the installed 32GB TF card.

6.6 Using Attachments

The included hook and magnet attachments can be screwed onto the camera tip for retrieving small objects or navigating in difficult spaces.

6.7 Data Transfer

To transfer data (photos/videos) to a computer:

  1. Connect the endoscope camera to your computer using the charge cable.
  2. The device should appear as a removable storage device.
  3. Access the files on the 32GB TF card through your computer's file explorer.
  4. Note: It is normal for "No Signal" to appear on the screen for three seconds when you press the "OK" button to exit data transmission mode.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Probe: After each use, especially in dirty or wet environments, gently wipe the camera probe with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn grime, a small amount of mild soap can be used, followed by a clean damp cloth. Ensure the probe is dry before storage.
  • Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the endoscope camera and its accessories in the provided EVA case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.

8. Troubleshooting

10. User Tips

  • For optimal image clarity, ensure the camera lens is clean and the LED lights are adjusted to the appropriate brightness for the environment.
  • When inspecting pipes or narrow spaces, gently guide the semi-rigid cable to avoid damaging the probe or getting it stuck.
  • Utilize the split-screen feature (if available on your model) to simultaneously view from different camera angles, which can be very helpful for complex inspections.
  • Regularly back up important photos and videos from the TF card to your computer to prevent data loss.
