Maintenance
- Cleaning Probes: After each use, clean the stainless steel probes with hot soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storage. Do not immerse the probe connectors or the main unit in water.
- Cleaning Main Unit: Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse it in water.
- Storage: Store the thermometer and probes in a dry place when not in use.
- Battery Care: Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Avoid Extreme Heat: Do not expose the main unit to direct heat or flames. The probes are designed for high temperatures, but the main unit is not.
Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace with fresh AAA batteries if necessary.
- Bluetooth Disconnection: Make sure your smartphone's Bluetooth is on and the app is open. Ensure the thermometer is within the 135-meter wireless range. Obstacles like thick walls can reduce range.
- Inaccurate Readings: Verify the probe is inserted correctly into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bone. Check if the probe cable is damaged.
- Alarm Not Sounding: Check the app's notification settings and ensure the volume on your smartphone is turned up. Confirm that the target temperature has been set correctly.
- Water Resistance: The probes are designed for food temperature measurement and can withstand moisture, but the main unit is NOT waterproof. Avoid exposing the main unit to rain or submerging it in water.
User Tips
- For optimal accuracy, especially when cooking different types of meat simultaneously, utilize both probes.
- Take advantage of the 135M wireless range to monitor your cooking from a distance, allowing you to attend to other tasks or guests.
- The device's ability to stand or hang makes it versatile for various kitchen and grilling setups.
- The quick and accurate measurement (1-3 seconds refresh, ±1.8°F accuracy) helps prevent over or undercooking.
