4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for easy installation of your CYCPLUS G1 Bike Computer:

  1. Install the Bike Computer Mount:
    • Place the rubber pad on your bicycle's handlebar or stem.
    • Position the bike computer mount on top of the rubber pad.
    • Use the provided rubber bands to cross-fix the mount securely to your handlebar or stem. Ensure it is tight and stable.
  2. Attach the Bike Computer:
    • Align the back of the CYCPLUS G1 bike computer with the mount.
    • Twist the bike computer gently until it locks into place on the mount.
  3. First Use:
    • Press the Power button to turn on the device. It features a 1-second quick start.
    • The device will quickly locate GPS signals for accurate tracking.

5. Operation

5.1. Function Overview

The CYCPLUS G1 supports GPS speed measurement and displays various cycling data:

  • Speed: Current Speed, Maximum Speed, Average Speed.
  • Time: Riding Time, Total Riding Time, Clock.
  • Distance: Riding Distance, Odometer (Total Riding Mileage).
  • Altitude: Current Altitude.

The G1 utilizes multiple global navigation satellite systems (GPS, QZSS, BeiDou, Glonass) for stable and accurate data transmission.

5.2. Button Functions

The device has two main buttons: the Power button (U) and the Setting button (*).

5.3. Automatic Functions

  • Auto Sleep: The device will automatically enter sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity.
  • Data Retention: When turned back on from sleep mode, it will display your last cycling data.
  • Auto Backlight: The display features an auto backlight for clear visibility in various lighting conditions, including night riding.

6. Settings

To enter the setting mode, long press the Setting button (*) while in display mode. Short press the Setting button to cycle through the setting menus (C4, C6, C7, C8). After making changes, long press the Setting button again to return to the main menu.

6.1. Time Zone Setting (C4)

  1. When the screen displays "C4", short press the Power button (U) to confirm.
  2. The digit will start blinking. Short press the Setting button (*) to change the value.
  3. Short press the Power button (U) to confirm the new value.

6.2. Unit Setting (C6)

  1. When the screen displays "C6", short press the Power button (U) to confirm.
  2. The unit will start blinking. Short press the Setting button (*) to select the desired unit (e.g., KMH or MPH).
  3. Short press the Power button (U) to confirm the new unit.

6.3. Factory Reset (C7)

  1. When the screen displays "C7", short press the Power button (U) to confirm.
  2. "RECOVER" will start blinking. Press the Setting button (*) twice.
  3. The screen will flash three times and then automatically return to the main display interface.

6.4. Odometer Setting (C8)

  1. When the screen displays "C8", short press the Power button (U) to confirm.
  2. The number will start blinking. Press the Setting button (*) to select the data fields to modify.
  3. Press the Power button (U) to confirm the changes.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Water Resistance: The device is IPX6 waterproof, meaning it can resist high-pressure, heavy sprays of water. However, it is not designed for prolonged immersion in water.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Charging: Charge the device using the provided Micro USB (or Type-C) cable. A full charge provides up to 55 hours of working time.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No GPS Signal: Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky. The device uses multiple satellite systems (GPS, QZSS, BeiDou, Glonass) for fast and accurate positioning.
  • Incorrect Units (KMH/MPH): Access the Unit Setting (C6) as described in Section 6.2 to change between kilometers per hour and miles per hour.
  • Device Not Turning On: Ensure the battery is charged. Short press the Power button (U) to turn on.
  • Data Not Saving: The device automatically saves your last cycling data when it enters sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity. If manually turned off, data should still be retained.
  • No Auto-Pause/Auto-Start: The G1 features an auto-sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity, but it does not have an auto-pause/auto-start function during active riding.
  • No Strava/App Sync: The CYCPLUS G1 is a standalone wireless GPS bike computer and does not support direct Bluetooth connectivity or data synchronization with third-party apps like Strava.

9. User Tips
