4. Setup
4.1 Mounting the Riflescope
- Ensure your firearm is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction.
- Attach the provided 30mm Picatinny High Rings to your firearm's Picatinny rail. Ensure they are securely fastened according to the mount manufacturer's instructions.
- Place the riflescope into the rings, ensuring proper eye relief and reticle alignment. Adjust the scope's position forward or backward until you achieve a full, clear field of view when shouldering the firearm.
- Gently tighten the ring screws, ensuring even pressure to avoid damaging the scope tube. Do not overtighten.
- Check for proper eye relief and reticle levelness. Make final adjustments before fully tightening all screws.
4.2 Diopter Adjustment
The diopter adjustment allows you to fine-tune the eyepiece to your individual eyesight, ensuring the reticle appears sharp and clear. To adjust:
- Point the scope at a plain, bright background (e.g., a clear sky or a blank wall).
- Look through the eyepiece and quickly glance away.
- While quickly glancing back, adjust the diopter ring (+2 to -2 range) until the reticle appears perfectly sharp. Avoid staring through the scope for too long during this process, as your eye may compensate for blurriness.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Magnification Adjustment
The Grimlock LPVO features a variable magnification range (1-4x or 1-6x). To adjust the magnification, rotate the power ring located near the eyepiece. The included power lever can be attached to this ring for quicker, more ergonomic adjustments.
5.2 Reticle Illumination
The reticle features 11 levels of red illumination. The illumination control knob is typically located on the left side of the main tube. Rotate the knob to increase or decrease the brightness of the reticle. Turn it to the '0' position to switch off the illumination.

5.3 Windage and Elevation Adjustment (Zeroing)
The riflescope features capped windage and elevation turrets with 1/2 MOA clicks. Each click moves the point of impact by 1/2 Minute of Angle at 100 yards.
- Remove the protective caps from the windage (side) and elevation (top) turrets.
- To adjust the point of impact, rotate the turrets. The 'UP' arrow indicates the direction to turn the elevation turret to move the point of impact up. The 'R' arrow indicates the direction to turn the windage turret to move the point of impact right.
- After zeroing, you can use the Zero Re-set feature. Loosen the small screw on the top of the turret, rotate the turret cap until the '0' aligns with the indicator mark, and then re-tighten the screw. This allows you to return to your zero setting easily after making temporary adjustments.
- Replace the protective caps after zeroing and any adjustments.

5.4 Reticle Patterns
The Grimlock series features etched reticles designed for various shooting scenarios.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Lenses: Use a soft, clean lens cloth or a lens pen to gently wipe away dust and smudges. For stubborn marks, use a small amount of lens cleaning solution on the cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Body: Wipe the riflescope body with a soft, damp cloth.
6.2 Storage
- Store the riflescope in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Ensure lens caps are in place to protect the lenses from dust and scratches.
- If storing for extended periods, remove the battery from the illumination module to prevent corrosion.
6.3 Water and Shock Resistance
The Grimlock riflescopes are designed to be water resistant and shock tested to 750g. While durable, avoid unnecessary exposure to extreme conditions or impacts. After exposure to water, wipe the scope dry with a clean cloth.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Blurry Image or Reticle
- Diopter Adjustment: Re-adjust the diopter to your eyesight (Section 4.2).
- Magnification: Ensure the magnification ring is set correctly and not stuck between settings.
- Lens Cleanliness: Check if the lenses are dirty or fogged. Clean them as per Section 6.1.
7.2 Reticle Not Illuminating
- Battery: Check if the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Illumination Knob: Ensure the illumination knob is turned to an active setting (not '0').
7.3 Inconsistent Point of Impact
- Mounting: Verify that the scope rings and mounts are securely tightened to the firearm and the scope. Loose mounts are a common cause of POI shifts.
- Ammunition: Ensure consistent ammunition is being used.
- Shooting Technique: Review your shooting fundamentals.
8. User Tips
- Mount Compatibility: The Grimlock riflescopes are designed for 30mm Picatinny rings. Ensure your mounting system is compatible with a 30mm tube diameter and Picatinny rails for secure attachment.
- Recoil Resistance: The riflescope is shock-tested to 750g, indicating it can withstand significant recoil, including from common calibers like .223 and .308, and is generally suitable for 12 gauge shotguns.
- Illuminated Reticle: The 11-level red illumination is a key feature for low-light conditions. Experiment with different brightness settings to find what works best for your environment without causing glare.
