3. Setup and Installation
The GIYO Bicycle Rear Light offers versatile installation options for both saddle and seatpost mounting.
3.1. Installation on Cushion Support (Saddle)
- Fix and tie both ends of the saddle bracket under the cushion with a tie.
- Put the tail lamp into the saddle bracket and rotate it 90 degrees to secure.
- Ensure the light is firmly attached and facing directly backward.

3.2. Installation on Seat Post
- Fix the seat post bracket on the seat post with a strap.
- Put the tail lamp into the seat post bracket and rotate it 90 degrees to secure.
- Verify the light is stable and correctly oriented.

Important: Ensure the light is installed correctly and securely. The light should be positioned vertically for optimal brake sensing functionality (GL09S model). Refer to the video for visual guidance.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Power On/Off and Mode Selection
After power on, click the button to switch between the 6 available light modes:
- Always bright
- Respiratory flash
- Slow flash
- Rhythmic flash
- Endurance flash
- Fast flash

4.2. Intelligent Mode (GL09S Only)
The GL09S model features an intelligent mode for automatic operation. Double-click the power button to activate intelligent mode. Click once for normal mode.
- Automatic Wakeup: In dim light conditions, the lamp will automatically turn on when cycling.
- Automatic Sleep: When the light ray is bright, the lamp will turn off. If cycling stops in dim light, the lamp will turn off after 45 seconds.
- Brake Sensing: When deceleration is detected during cycling, the light will highlight for 3 seconds to warn others.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Charging
The GIYO Bicycle Rear Light features Type-C fast charging. A full charge typically takes 2 hours.
- Connect the light to a 5V USB power source using a Type-C cable.
- Click the button when the power is off to display the current power level:
- Green: More than 80%
- Blue: 30%-80%
- Red: Less than 30%

5.2. Cleaning and Storage
- Wipe the light with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Ensure the Type-C charging port cover is securely closed to maintain IP66 waterproof rating.
- Store the light in a cool, dry place when not in use.
6. Troubleshooting
- Light not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn it on.
- Light not responding to intelligent mode (GL09S): Check if intelligent mode is activated (double-click). Ensure the light is mounted vertically for proper sensor function.
- Brake sensing not working (GL09S): Verify the light is securely mounted and oriented correctly. Sudden deceleration is required to trigger the brake light.
- Short battery life: Ensure the light is fully charged. Consider using lower power modes for extended runtime.
7. User Tips
- For maximum visibility, especially in low-light conditions, consider using the 'Always bright' or 'Fast flash' modes.
- Regularly check the battery level, especially before long rides, to ensure continuous operation.
- When installing the GL09S, pay close attention to the vertical alignment to ensure the brake sensing feature works optimally.
