2. Safety Information

• Always operate the drone in open areas, away from people, animals, and obstacles.
• Do not fly near airports, restricted airspace, or sensitive facilities.
• Ensure the battery is fully charged before each flight.
• Avoid flying in strong winds or adverse weather conditions.
• Keep hands and face clear of rotating propellers.
• Children should operate the drone under adult supervision.

5. Setup Guide

5.1 Drone Assembly

1. Unfolding the Drone: Gently unfold the drone arms until they lock into place. The S150 features a convenient folding design for portability.
2. Propeller Installation: If not pre-installed, attach the propellers according to the markings (A and B) on the propellers and motor arms. Ensure they are securely fastened.
3. Barrier Avoidance Head: Attach the barrier avoidance head to the designated slot on the drone.

5.2 Battery Installation & Charging

1. Drone Battery: Insert the 3.7V 2000mAh battery into the drone's battery compartment until it clicks securely.
2. Charging the Drone Battery: Connect the drone battery to the USB charging cable and plug it into a 5V USB power source. The charging time is approximately 60-80 minutes.
3. Remote Control Battery: Open the battery compartment on the remote control and insert 3 x AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.

5.3 Remote Control Setup

1. Power On: Turn on the drone first, then the remote control.
2. Pairing: Push the left joystick up and then down. The drone lights will stop flashing, indicating successful pairing.
3. Mobile App Connection: Download the dedicated S150 drone app (refer to the QR code in the included instructions). Connect your smartphone to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named 'S150-XXXX'). Open the app to view the live feed and access advanced controls.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Flight Controls

1. One-Button Takeoff/Landing: Press the dedicated one-button takeoff/landing button on the remote control to initiate or conclude flight.
2. Altitude Hold Mode: The drone maintains a stable altitude automatically, making it easier to control.
3. Speed Adjustment: Use the speed gear adjustment button to switch between slow, medium, and fast flight modes.
4. Headless Mode: In headless mode, the drone's orientation is relative to the pilot, simplifying control regardless of the drone's front direction.

6.2 Advanced Features

• 360° Omnidirectional Obstacle Avoidance: The drone is equipped with sensors to detect and avoid obstacles from all directions, enhancing flight safety.

6.3 Camera Operation

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Care

• Always use the provided USB charging cable.
• Do not overcharge or over-discharge the battery.
• Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• If the drone will not be used for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% before storage.

7.2 Cleaning and Storage

• Clean the drone and remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents.
• Inspect propellers for damage before each flight. Replace any damaged propellers.
• Store the drone in its original storage bag or a protective case to prevent damage.

8. Troubleshooting

• Drone not responding to remote: Ensure both the drone and remote are powered on and successfully paired. Re-pair if necessary. Check remote control batteries.
• Unstable flight: Calibrate the gyroscope before flight. Ensure propellers are correctly installed and undamaged. Avoid flying in windy conditions.
• No camera feed: Verify your smartphone is connected to the drone's Wi-Fi network. Ensure the app is open and has necessary permissions.
• Short flight time: Ensure the drone battery is fully charged. Flight time can be affected by aggressive flying, wind, and cold temperatures.
• Obstacle avoidance not working: Ensure the barrier avoidance head is correctly installed and unobstructed. Fly in well-lit conditions as IR sensors may be less effective in darkness.

9. User Tips

• For beginners, start flying in a large, open outdoor space with minimal wind.
• Practice basic controls like hovering and gentle movements before attempting advanced maneuvers.
• Utilize the optical flow positioning for more stable indoor flights.
• Experiment with gesture controls for hands-free photo and video capture.
• Always keep an eye on the drone's battery level, especially when flying at a distance.
