5. Setup Instructions
5.1. Power Supply Connection
The module supports dual power supply options, but they cannot be used simultaneously:
- Option 1 (DC 5V): Connect a DC 5V power source to the DC 5.5 female jack.
- Option 2 (DC 6.5-25V): Connect a DC 6.5-25V power source to the VIN (positive) and GND (negative) terminals.
WARNING: Do NOT connect both power supplies at the same time.
5.2. Motor and Control Wiring
Connect your DC motor and control signals as follows:
- Motor Connection: Connect the motor's positive lead to M+ and negative lead to M-.
- Motor Power Supply: Connect the positive terminal of your motor's power supply to P+ and the negative terminal to P-.
- Control Inputs: Connect your control signals (e.g., buttons, sensors) to the FWD (Forward), REV (Reverse), and STOP (Stop) input control ports as required by your chosen function mode. These inputs typically respond to low pulse or low-level triggers.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Menus and Navigation
The module features three main menus:
- Work Menu: The default operating state, displaying the countdown.
- Function Menu: Used to select the desired operating mode (e.g., F-01, F-02).
- Parameter Menu: Used to set specific timing and cycle parameters (T1, T2, T3, time units, cycles, trigger mode).
Note: When entering the Function Menu or Parameter Menu, the module continues to operate normally (countdown and trigger functions remain active). Parameters set are only applied after the module is powered off and on again.
6.2. Parameter Setting Method
To set parameters, follow these steps:
- Enter Setting State: From the running state (Work Menu), short press the 'SET' button.
- Navigate Sub-menus: Use the '++' and '--' buttons to select the desired sub-menu or parameter.
- Confirm/Exit: Short press the 'OK' button to confirm a selection or return to the previous menu.

6.3. Function Modes
- F-01 Type: After power on, the motor runs forward for T1 time, then stops for T3 time, then reverses for T2 time. This cycle repeats Nx times. Triggering the STOP port immediately stops the motor. (FWD and REV ports are invalid in this mode).
- F-02 Type: A variant of F-01. This mode requires the FWD or REV port to be triggered to initiate operation, unlike F-01 which starts directly upon power-on.
- F-11 (Trigger Reversible 1):
- Triggering the FWD port makes the motor run forward for T1 time and then stop automatically. If the REV port is triggered during this delay, the motor stops for T3 time, then reverses for T2 time. Triggering FWD again during reverse re-times T1.
- Triggering the REV port makes the motor run reverse for T2 time and then stop automatically. If the FWD port is triggered during this delay, the motor stops for T3 time, then runs forward for T1 time. Triggering REV again during forward re-times T2.
- Triggering the STOP port immediately stops the motor, regardless of its current direction.
- F-12 (Trigger Reversible 2):
- Triggering the FWD port makes the motor run forward for T1 time and then stop automatically. During this delay, all other ports except STOP are invalid.
- Triggering the REV port makes the motor run reverse for T2 time and then stop automatically. During this delay, all other ports except STOP are invalid.
- Triggering the STOP port immediately stops the motor, regardless of its current direction.
- Low-Level Trigger Modes (Implicit):
- When the FWD port is held at a low level, the motor moves forward. Releasing the FWD port stops the motor.
- When the REV port is held at a low level, the motor reverses. Releasing the REV port stops the motor.
- In these low-level trigger modes, FWD and REV ports cannot be simultaneously low. The STOP port may or may not be active depending on the specific sub-mode (some modes invalidate STOP).
6.4. Energy Saving Mode
To conserve power, the module can enter an energy-saving mode:
- Enter Energy Saving Mode: Press and hold the 'OK' button for 5 seconds. The Nixie tube and LED indicators will turn off.
- Exit Energy Saving Mode: Press and hold the 'OK' button again for 5 seconds. The display and LEDs will reactivate.
In energy-saving mode, only the visual indicators are turned off; all other functions of the module operate normally.
6.5. Factory Settings Reset
To restore the module to its factory default settings:
- Press the '++' and '--' buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
7. Maintenance
- Keep the module clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Ensure all wiring connections remain secure and free from corrosion. Periodically inspect connections.
- Store the module in a cool, dry place when not in use.
8. Troubleshooting
- Module not powering on: Check power supply connections and ensure the voltage is within the specified range (DC 5V or DC 6.5-25V). Verify that only one power source is connected.
- Motor not responding:
- Check motor wiring (M+, M-) and motor power supply (P+, P-).
- Ensure the relay load current does not exceed 5A.
- Verify the selected function mode and trigger conditions.
- Check if the module is in energy-saving mode (display off).
- Incorrect timing or cycles: Re-enter the Parameter Menu and verify that T1, T2, T3, time units, and number of cycles are set correctly for your desired operation. Remember to power cycle the module after changing parameters for them to take effect.
- Control inputs (FWD, REV, STOP) not working: Ensure the trigger mode (low pulse or low level) is correctly configured in the Parameter Menu and matches your input signal. Note that some function modes may invalidate certain control inputs.
9. User Tips
- Always test your wiring and settings with a low-power motor or a multimeter before connecting to critical equipment.
- Familiarize yourself with the different function modes (F-01, F-02, F-11, F-12) to choose the one best suited for your application.
- Utilize the energy-saving mode when continuous display is not necessary to reduce power consumption.
- For complex sequences, sketch out your desired timing and logic before programming the module.
