Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper use, setup, and maintenance of your Vector Optics Veyron SFP Compact Scope. Designed for compact air guns and lightweight firearms, the Veyron SFP series features a turret lock system, fully multi-coated lenses, and side focus capabilities for optimal performance. Please read this manual thoroughly before using your scope to ensure safe and effective operation.

Setup
Mounting the Scope
- Ensure your firearm is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction.
- Attach the provided scope rings to your firearm's mounting rail according to the ring manufacturer's instructions.
- Carefully place the Veyron SFP scope into the bottom halves of the rings.
- Place the top halves of the rings over the scope and lightly tighten the screws. Do not fully tighten yet.
- Adjust the scope's position for proper eye relief. This is the distance between your eye and the ocular lens when you have a full field of view. The Veyron SFP series offers a generous 4-inch long eye relief.
- Rotate the scope to ensure the reticle is level with the firearm. Use a reticle leveling tool if available.
- Once eye relief and reticle level are set, gradually tighten the ring screws in an alternating pattern to secure the scope firmly. Refer to the ring manufacturer's torque specifications.
Initial Adjustments
- Diopter Adjustment: Look through the scope at a plain, bright background (like the sky). Rotate the fast-focus eyepiece (+2 to -2 diopter range) until the reticle appears sharp and clear. This adjustment is personal and should be done without looking at the target.
- Turret Lock System: The Veyron SFP scopes feature a turret lock system. To make adjustments, pull the turret knob up. After adjustment, push it down to lock it in place and prevent accidental changes.

Operating the Scope
Magnification Adjustment
Rotate the magnification ring, located near the ocular lens, to change the power. The Veyron SFP series offers various magnification ranges (e.g., 2-8x, 3-12x, 4-16x, 6-24x) with a 4x zoom factor.

Windage and Elevation Adjustment
The windage (horizontal) and elevation (vertical) turrets are located on the top and right side of the scope body. Each click adjusts the point of impact by 1/10 MIL (1 cm at 100 meters). To adjust:
- Pull the turret knob up to unlock it.
- Rotate the turret in the desired direction (e.g., 'U' for Up, 'D' for Down, 'L' for Left, 'R' for Right).
- Push the turret knob down to lock it after adjustment.

Side Focus / Parallax Adjustment
For models equipped with side focus (e.g., 10x44, 3-12x44IR, 4-16x44IR, 6-24x44IR), rotate the side focus knob to eliminate parallax error and achieve a clear image of your target at various distances. The minimum side focus distance is 10 yards.

Reticle Illumination (IR Models)
For models with illumination (e.g., 2-8x32IR, 3-12x44IR, 4-16x44IR, 6-24x44IR), rotate the illumination knob, typically located on the side focus turret or ocular housing, to activate and adjust the brightness of the reticle's center dot. There are usually 6 levels of red illumination.
Maintenance
Cleaning Lenses
Use a soft, clean lens cloth or a lens pen to gently wipe dust and debris from the objective and ocular lenses. For stubborn smudges, use a small amount of lens cleaning fluid specifically designed for optics. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the lens coatings.
General Care and Storage
- Keep the scope protected with the provided flip-up caps when not in use.
- Store the scope in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the scope to severe impacts, as this can affect its zero and internal components.
- Periodically check all mounting screws to ensure they are securely tightened.
Troubleshooting
- Blurry Image: Ensure the diopter adjustment is correctly set for your eye. Adjust the side focus (if applicable) for the target distance. Check for dirt or smudges on the lenses.
- Reticle Not Clear: Re-adjust the diopter. If it's an illuminated reticle, check the battery and illumination settings.
- Point of Impact Shift: Verify that the scope is securely mounted and all ring screws are tightened to the correct torque. Check if the turret lock system is engaged after adjustments.
- No Illumination (IR models): Check the battery. Ensure it is inserted correctly and has sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.

User Tips
- Caliber Compatibility: While designed for compact air guns and lightweight firearms, always verify the scope's shock resistance and compatibility with your specific firearm's caliber to ensure longevity and safety.
- Weight Considerations: The compact design of the Veyron series aims for reduced weight. When choosing a model, consider the overall weight balance with your firearm, especially for extended use.
- Zeroing: Take your time to properly zero your scope. Start at a closer range (e.g., 25 yards) to get on paper, then move to your desired zeroing distance (e.g., 50 or 100 yards) for fine adjustments.
- Turret Lock: Always engage the turret lock after making adjustments to prevent accidental changes to your zero, especially when moving or transporting your firearm.
