3. Setup Guide

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the device. Connect the provided USB Type-C data cable to the charging port on the device and plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port. The charging indicator on the screen will show the charging status.

3.2 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (usually marked with a red circle and power symbol) until the screen lights up to turn on the device. To turn off, press and hold the power button again until the shutdown prompt appears, then confirm.

3.3 Language Selection

Upon first power-on or after a factory reset, you may be prompted to select a language. Use the navigation buttons to choose between English and Chinese, then press the 'OK' button to confirm.

3.4 GPS Signal Acquisition

For accurate measurements, ensure the device has a clear line of sight to the sky to acquire GPS satellite signals. This process typically takes a few moments after powering on. The signal strength indicator on the screen will show the status of satellite connection.

4. Operating Instructions

The Mileseey GPS Land Meter offers various measurement functions accessible via its intuitive interface.

4.1 Navigation and Menu

Use the directional buttons (up, down, left, right) to navigate through menu options. The 'OK' button confirms selections, and the 'Power' button often serves as a back/cancel function in menus.

4.2 Measurement Modes

The device supports two primary measurement modes:

  • Handheld Measurement: Hold the land meter and walk along the boundaries of the area to be measured. The device will automatically calculate the area.
  • Autocar Measurement: Place the land meter in the middle of a vehicle (e.g., tractor). After setting the width of the vehicle, the device will automatically calculate the area enclosed by the boundary that the vehicle passes through.

4.3 Types of Measurement

The device can perform various types of measurements:

  • Area Measure:
    • Flat Area: For regular or irregular flat land.
    • Brae Area (Hillside): For measuring sloped terrain.
    • Acquilate (Equilateral/Regular): For areas with predefined geometric shapes.
    • Round Point: For circular areas.
    • Rectangle: For rectangular areas.
    • Mode 1: Measurement along the action path (walking the perimeter).
    • Mode 2: Rotation measurement along the ground (for agricultural machinery).
  • Length Measure: For measuring straight or curved distances.
  • Speed Measure: Measures the current speed of movement.

4.4 Data Storage and Inquiry

The device can store up to 99 groups of measurement data, including track information. To access stored data, navigate to the "Record" or "Data memory" option in the menu. You can review past measurements and their associated details.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Recharge the battery using the provided USB Type-C cable when the battery level is low. Store the device with a partial charge if not used for extended periods.

5.2 Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the screen or casing. The device is anti-dust, but regular cleaning helps maintain optimal performance and appearance.

5.3 Storage

Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The recommended operating and storage conditions are: Temperature -10°C to 50°C, Humidity 5% to 95%.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Device Not Powering On

  • Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the device to a power source using the USB Type-C cable and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
  • Try a different USB cable or power adapter.

6.2 Inaccurate Measurements or No GPS Signal

  • Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky, away from tall buildings, dense foliage, or other obstructions that might block GPS signals.
  • Wait a few minutes for the device to acquire sufficient satellite signals. The signal strength indicator should show a stable connection.
  • Check if the device's firmware is up to date (if applicable, refer to the manufacturer's website for update instructions).

6.3 Screen Issues

  • If the screen is unresponsive, try restarting the device.
  • If the screen is dim, check the brightness settings in the device menu.
