Maintenance

1. Camera Durability and Weather Resistance

The ASECAM cameras feature an IP67 waterproof metal casing, designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, including furious winds, torrential downpours, and snowstorms. This ensures reliable operation in temperatures ranging from -45°C to 50°C.

2. Video Compression and Image Enhancement

  • H.265 Video Compression: This advanced compression technology reduces video file sizes by 40%-50% without compromising 4K image quality, saving significant hard drive space.
  • HDR (High Dynamic Range): Ensures clear image capture in varied lighting conditions by adjusting brightness between the brightest and darkest points of the video.
  • DNR (Digital Noise Reduction): Filters out noise from low-light settings and motion, providing a cleaner, sharper image and reducing video file sizes.

Troubleshooting

  • No Video/Camera Offline:
    • Check all cable connections between the camera and NVR. Ensure Cat5e cables are securely plugged in.
    • Verify the NVR's POE ports are active.
    • Ensure the camera is receiving power from the NVR.
    • Check the camera's status in the NVR interface (Menu > Channel Status).
  • No Remote Access:
    • Ensure the NVR is connected to the internet and has a stable network connection.
    • Verify network settings on the NVR (e.g., IP address, gateway, DNS).
    • Check if the "XMEye" app or CMS software is updated to the latest version.
    • Confirm correct device ID and login credentials in the app/software.
  • False Motion Alarms:
    • Adjust motion detection sensitivity settings in the NVR.
    • Define specific motion detection zones to exclude areas with frequent non-human movement (e.g., trees, busy roads).
    • Ensure AI Human Detection is enabled to filter out non-human triggers.
  • Poor Image Quality:
    • Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions.
    • Check NVR display resolution settings to match your monitor's capabilities (e.g., 4K).
    • Verify camera resolution settings in the NVR (Menu > Encode > Resolution).
    • Ensure HDR and DNR features are enabled for optimal performance in challenging lighting.

User Tips

  • HDD Installation: If your NVR did not come with a pre-installed HDD, you will need to install one (up to 4TB) to enable recording. Ensure it is properly formatted through the NVR's system settings.
  • NVR Channel Capacity: The NVR supports up to 8 channels. When selecting your camera kit, ensure the number of cameras matches or is less than the NVR's channel capacity.
  • Optimal Cable Length: While POE allows for flexible cable lengths, using high-quality Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables is crucial for stable power and data transmission, especially over longer distances.
  • Regular Firmware Updates: Check the ASECAM official website periodically for firmware updates to ensure your system has the latest features and security patches.
  • Backup Important Footage: Regularly back up critical video footage to an external storage device or cloud service to prevent data loss.
