5. Setup

5.1 Pre-Installation Check

Before beginning installation, ensure all components listed in the packing list are present and undamaged. Verify that the unit's dimensions are compatible with your vehicle's dashboard opening (2DIN standard).

5.2 Installation Steps

Professional installation is highly recommended to avoid damage to the unit or your vehicle's electrical system. If you choose to install it yourself, proceed with caution.

  1. Disconnect Battery: Always disconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal before starting any electrical work to prevent short circuits.
  2. Remove Old Unit: Carefully remove your existing car stereo or dashboard panel to access the wiring harness and mounting area.
  3. Connect Wiring Harness: Connect the provided 16-pin power cable to your vehicle's wiring harness. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly matched (power, ground, speaker wires, etc.).
  4. Connect Peripherals:
    • GPS Antenna: Connect the GPS antenna and position it in a location with a clear view of the sky, typically on the dashboard or under the windshield.
    • USB Cables: Connect the two USB cables to the rear USB ports on the unit. Route them to an accessible location in your vehicle for connecting USB drives or a dash cam.
    • RCA Cables: If connecting external amplifiers or subwoofers, connect the RCA cables to the appropriate audio output ports.
    • Reversing Camera: Connect the reversing video input cable to your reversing camera. Ensure the camera's power is correctly wired to the reverse light circuit.

6.1 Basic Navigation
