In the future, whenever the scanner subscription period is less than 3 years, the system will provide an update to extend the subscription for another 10 years.
6. Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- Device not powering on: Ensure the OBD connector is securely plugged into the vehicle's OBD-II port. Check vehicle battery voltage. If using an external power source, ensure it is connected correctly.
- Connection issues with vehicle: Verify the OBD connector is fully inserted. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on (engine off or running, as required by the specific diagnostic function).
- Specific functions not working on my car: Not all vehicles support all diagnostic or reset functions. Refer to your vehicle's manual or contact customer support with your vehicle's make, model, and year for compatibility information.
- CANFD protocol issues (VO7S): For vehicles using the CANFD protocol, ensure your vehicle natively supports it or that you have purchased a compatible CANFD adapter if required.
- FCA Gateway vehicles: Vehicles requiring gateway unlocking (e.g., some Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep models) need a separate FCA account, and the fee will be charged by AutoAuth.
- Odometer function: The odometer read function is only for reading actual mileage and does not support mileage modification or zeroing.
- Airbag Reset / TPMS Reset: These functions may be model-specific. Consult customer service for details on your vehicle.
- Japanese cars with JOBD protocol: These vehicles are generally not supported.
