3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS)

The Srnubi Dash Cam features ADAS to enhance driving safety by providing alerts for potential hazards.

  • Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS): This system calculates the real-time distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front. When driving above 30 km/h on expressways or under 30 km/h in city traffic, it issues a 3-level early warning with English voice if a collision risk is detected.
  • Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS): If the device detects that your vehicle is unintentionally deviating from its lane at speeds over 50 km/h, a lane departure alarm will automatically trigger.

3.2. Video Recording

  • Loop Recording: When the memory card is full, new recordings will automatically overwrite the oldest recordings. Videos that have been locked (e.g., due to G-sensor activation) will be protected from being overwritten.
  • HD Imaging: The dash cam features a 6-group all-glass lens with an F1.6 large aperture, providing clear night vision and high-quality graphics even in low light conditions. It offers a 170° viewing angle to capture a wide perspective of the road.

3.3. Floating Window Function

The floating window function allows the dash cam's display to remain active while other applications are in use on your Android Multimedia player.

4. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Srnubi Dash Cam, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and the exterior of the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the lens or casing.
  • Storage: If storing the dash cam for an extended period, ensure it is kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for software updates for the DVR application to ensure all features, especially ADAS, function correctly and are up-to-date. Connect to Wi-Fi and use the update function within the app.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your dash cam, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • DVR Application Installation Issues: If the DVR.apk file does not install, ensure your Android Multimedia player is running Android 4.0 or above. Verify that you are selecting the correct file from the Buildwin USB drive in your file manager.
  • ADAS Not Working Properly: Enter the settings of the DVR application, find the ADAS section, and ensure all functions are enabled. It may be necessary to update the software; connect to Wi-Fi and click the 'Update' option within the app.
  • Viewing Recorded Videos: The car's multimedia player is primarily for real-time viewing. To watch recorded videos, remove the TF (Micro SD) card from the dash cam and use a card reader to connect it to a computer.
