This product is designed to replace broken, damaged, cracked, or unrecognizable LCD touch screens, restoring your device's display functionality.

2. Product Overview

The replacement display is a high-quality component, rigorously tested to ensure no defects, dead pixels, or operational issues. It is available in two main configurations: 'No Frame' and 'With Frame'.

3. Specifications

Note on Display Technology:

• TFT LCD: Made of TFT LCD display. Quality is comparable to normal mode. TFT displays in this store typically do not support facial recognition and fingerprint unlocking functions.
• OLED: Offers better color reproduction and touch response compared to TFT.

4. Setup and Installation

WARNING: Phone repair requires technical skills. If you are unsure, seek professional assistance. Incorrect installation can damage your device.

4.1 Pre-Installation Checks and Precautions:

1. Unpacking Video: Upon receiving the product, record a video of the unboxing process. This video should clearly show the condition of the packaging and the product inside. This is crucial for any potential warranty claims.
2. Product Test Video: Before permanent installation, record a video of the product test. This video must show the back of the product, including our company's unique QC label.
3. Power Off Device: Before attempting any installation, ensure your phone is completely powered off and the battery cable is disconnected. Failure to do so can lead to damage, including non-functional Touch ID or screen burn.
4. Handle with Care: The display assembly is fragile. Handle it carefully to avoid damage to flex cables or the screen itself.
5. Adhesive: Note that adhesive tape for gluing the display might be required and may not be included in the kit. Prepare appropriate adhesive if needed.

4.2 Testing the Display (Bare Metal Test):

Before installing the screen into the phone frame, it is essential to perform a 'bare metal' test:

1. Connect the new display's flex cables to the phone's motherboard connectors.
2. Reconnect the battery cable.
3. Power on the phone.
4. Test the display effect (colors, brightness, clarity) and touch effect (responsiveness across the entire screen).
5. Ensure the screen displays normally and satisfactorily.
6. If any issues are found during this test, contact support immediately. Do NOT proceed with full installation.

IMPORTANT: Only after confirming that there are no problems during the bare metal test should you proceed with installing and gluing the display to the motherboard hardware.

4.3 Installation Steps (General Guide):

The specific steps may vary slightly depending on whether you chose the 'No Frame' or 'With Frame' variant. Always refer to device-specific repair guides or videos for your OPPO A96 model.

1. Disassemble Phone: Carefully open your OPPO A96, remove the back cover, disconnect the battery, and detach the old display assembly.
2. Prepare Frame (No Frame variant): If you have the 'No Frame' display, carefully transfer all necessary components (e.g., earpiece, sensors, buttons, vibration motor) from your old frame to the new display assembly. Clean any old adhesive residue from the phone's mid-frame.
3. Install Display: Gently place the new display assembly into the phone's mid-frame. Ensure all flex cables are properly aligned and connected.
4. Secure Display: Apply new adhesive (if not pre-applied on 'With Frame' variant) around the edges of the frame to secure the display. Press firmly but gently to ensure a good seal.
5. Reassemble Phone: Reconnect the battery cable, reattach any removed components, and close the phone's back cover.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the new display functions identically to the original. Power on your device and verify:

• Display: Check for proper brightness, color reproduction, and absence of dead pixels or flickering.
• Touch: Test touch responsiveness across the entire screen, including multi-touch gestures.
• Sensors: Verify proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and any other display-related sensors are working correctly.
• Fingerprint/Facial Recognition: If your original device supported these features and you installed a compatible display (e.g., OLED), test their functionality. Note that TFT displays typically do not support these features.

6. Maintenance and Care

• Screen Protection: Use a screen protector and a protective case to prevent scratches and accidental damage.
• Cleaning: Clean the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth, slightly dampened with water or a screen cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals.
• Avoid Impact: Protect your phone from drops and impacts, which can cause screen damage.
• Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing your device to extreme temperatures, as this can affect display performance and longevity.

• Screen Flickering / Abnormal Display:
  - This often indicates an issue with the display connection or the display unit itself. Recheck connections.
  - If the issue persists, it could be an internal screen damage.
• Touch ID / Facial Recognition Not Working:
  - Ensure the battery cable was disconnected before installation to prevent damage to these components.
  - Note that TFT displays typically do not support these functions. If you require these features, ensure you purchased an OLED compatible display.

If you encounter any issues after installation, and the bare metal test was successful, it is likely due to man-made damage during the installation process. Man-made damage and physical damage are not covered under warranty.

8. User Tips

• Thorough Pre-Testing: Always perform the bare metal test diligently before fully installing the screen. This is the most critical step to ensure the display is functional and to validate warranty eligibility.
• Adhesive Preparation: Be prepared with appropriate adhesive for securing the display, as it may not always be included.
• Professional Installation: If you are not confident in your repair skills, consider having the display installed by a qualified technician to avoid accidental damage.

9. Warranty and Support

Warranty Period:

This product comes with a 12-month warranty covering touch functionality. The warranty is valid provided the product has not sustained man-made damage or physical damage.

Warranty Exclusions:

The warranty does NOT cover:

• Black screen, no display, screen burst, or disconnection after installation.
• Any man-made damage or physical damage.
• Damage resulting from improper installation, such as failure to disconnect the battery cable before installation, leading to Touch ID malfunction or screen burn.

Claiming Warranty:

To claim warranty, you must provide:

1. The unboxing video recorded upon receipt of the product.
2. The product test video (bare metal test) showing the unique QC label of our company.

These videos serve as proof of the product's condition before and during the critical testing phase. If you are not satisfied with our products, please contact us directly for support before initiating any dispute.
