6. Operating Instructions
Once connected and a mode is selected, the charger will begin its automatic 7-stage charging process.
6.1 Automatic Charging Process (7 Stages)
The charger employs a sophisticated 7-stage charging curve to ensure optimal battery health and full charge without damage. (Note: For Water Battery/Start/Stop mode, it is 6 stages).
- Desulfurization: Breaks down lead sulfate crystals that build up on discharged battery plates.
- Trickle Charge: Initial low current charge for deeply discharged batteries.
- Constant Current Charge: Charges the battery at a constant maximum current until voltage rises.
- Constant Voltage Charge: Charges at a constant voltage while current gradually decreases.
- Battery Current Detection: Monitors battery current to determine charge level.
- Compensation Charging: Balances individual cells for optimal performance.
- Floating Charging: Maintains the battery at full charge with a low, constant voltage.

6.2 Display Indicators
The intelligent digital display provides real-time information:
- Voltage (V): Current battery voltage.
- Current (A): Charging current.
- Temperature (°C): Ambient temperature detected by the charger.
- Repair (PUL): Indicates Pulse Repair mode is active.
- Finish (FUL): Indicates charging is complete.
- Off: Charger is off or in standby.
- Reverse Connection Exception (E-H-): Warning for incorrect polarity connection.
- Desulfurization (dFS): Indicates desulfurization process is active.
- Battery Level Indicator: Graphical representation of battery charge percentage (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%).

6.3 Special Functions
- Pulse Repair Function: This function uses high and low frequency pulse technology to address issues like undervoltage, long idle time, and sulphation, effectively activating and repairing batteries that cannot be charged normally.
- Winter/Summer Mode: The charger intelligently detects ambient temperature. For temperatures above 28°C (Summer Mode), it reduces charging voltage to prevent overcharging. For temperatures between 0-10°C (Winter Mode), it automatically increases charging voltage to compensate for cold weather effects. Normal temperature operation (10-27°C) has no specific icon.
- Anti-False Trigger Key Protection: Approximately 25 seconds after the product enters the charging state, the mode selection button will self-lock to prevent accidental changes. To switch modes, you must either disconnect the mains power or remove the battery clips to unlock the function.

7. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your EAFC battery charger.
- Cleaning: Wipe the charger's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
- Cable and Clamp Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord and battery clamps for any signs of damage, fraying, or corrosion. Replace if necessary.
- Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fan vents are clear of obstructions to maintain proper airflow and prevent overheating.
- No User Serviceable Parts: Do not attempt to open or repair the charger yourself. Refer to qualified service personnel for any repairs.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your EAFC battery charger, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| Charger does not turn on / Display is off. |
|
| "E-H-" error displayed. | This indicates a reverse polarity connection. Disconnect the charger from the power outlet and the battery, then re-connect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal. |
| Charger not charging or charging slowly. |
|
| Mode selection button is unresponsive. | The Anti-False Trigger Key Protection feature locks the button after approximately 25 seconds of charging. To change modes, disconnect the charger from the mains power or remove the battery clips, then reconnect. |
9. User Tips
- This charger is generally considered durable and works effectively for its intended purpose.
- The charger has a memory function: it will automatically resume charging in the last selected mode (except for the "REPAIR" mode) when reconnected to a battery.
- Always verify your battery's Amp-hour (AH) capacity before using the charger to ensure it falls within the recommended 2AH to 150AH range.
- For optimal performance, ensure the charger is placed in a well-ventilated area during operation.
