5.2 Speed Sensor Installation

If your speedometer includes a speed sensor, mount it securely near a rotating part of your wheel (e.g., brake disc or sprocket) using the provided bracket and hardware. Ensure the sensor is close enough to detect the magnets (if applicable) but does not make physical contact during operation. An instructional video for sensor placement on the rim may be available from the seller; check their product page or contact support.

6. Operating Instructions

The speedometer features two buttons, typically labeled 'SET' (left) and 'MODE' (right), for navigation and settings.

6.1 Basic Functions

  • Switch Mileage Display: Short press the left button to cycle through different mileage displays (e.g., Total, Trip).
  • Switch Backlight Color: In TOTAL mode, short press the right button to change the backlight color (7 colors available).
  • Switch Metric/Imperial Units: In TOTAL mode, long press the right button to toggle between Metric (km/h) and British (mph) units.

6.2 Advanced Settings (Parameter Setting Page)

To access and adjust advanced parameters:

  1. Enter Setting Page: In TRIP mode, long press the left button to enter the ID-000 parameter setting page.
  2. Navigate Digits: Short press the left button to move between digits.
  3. Adjust Value: Short press the right button to change the value of the selected digit.
  4. Set ID-750: Set the ID parameter to 750. This is often a default or required setting for initial setup.
  5. Tire Circumference (LC-153): Long press the left button to proceed to the LC-153 Tire circumference setting page. Adjust this value to match your motorcycle's tire circumference for accurate speed readings. For example, if your tire circumference is 218.23 cm, you would input a corresponding value here.
  6. Magnet Number (2PULSE): After adjusting the tire circumference, short press the left button to enter the 2PULSE magnet number page. Set this according to the number of magnets used with your speed sensor (e.g., '2' for 2 magnets).
  7. Engine Pulse Number (FRCLOY): After adjusting the magnet number, short press the left button to enter the FRCLOY engine pulse number page. Set '0' for four-stroke engines or '1' for two-stroke engines.
  8. Fuel Sensor Setting (FUEL-2): After adjusting the engine pulse, short press the left button to enter the FUEL-2 fuel sensor setting page. Set '2' for a two-line fuel sensor or '3' for a three-line fuel sensor.
  9. Exit and Save: After all adjustments are completed, long press the left button to exit the settings. All parameters will be automatically saved.

6.3 Clock Setting

To set the clock:

  1. In TOTAL mode, long press the left button. The clock digits will start flashing.
  2. Short press the right button to adjust the flashing digit.
  3. Short press the left button to move to the next digit (hours/minutes).
  4. Once the time is set, long press the left button to exit and save.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the display and housing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the plastic.
  • Protection: While the unit is waterproof and sun-proof, prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions can reduce its lifespan. Consider a protective cover when parking outdoors for extended periods.
  • Wiring Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion or damage.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1 Display Not Lighting Up / Restarting

  • Check Power Connection: Ensure the black positive and green negative wires are correctly and securely connected, especially in the 9th hole. Loose connections are a common cause of intermittent power or restarting issues.
  • Voltage Check: Verify that the motorcycle's battery voltage is within the operating range (10V-15V). If the voltage drops below 11.3V, the undervoltage symbol will flash, indicating a potential power supply issue.
  • Wiring Integrity: Inspect all other wiring connections for any breaks, shorts, or incorrect assignments according to the wiring diagram.

8.2 Inaccurate Speed Reading

  • Sensor Placement: Ensure the speed sensor is correctly installed and positioned close enough to the magnets without touching.
  • Tire Circumference Setting: Double-check the LC-153 (Tire circumference) setting in the advanced parameters. An incorrect value will lead to inaccurate speed and mileage readings.
  • Magnet Number Setting: Verify the 2PULSE magnet number setting matches the number of magnets used with your speed sensor.

8.3 RPM Reading Issues

  • Engine Pulse Setting: Confirm the FRCLOY engine pulse number setting is correct for your engine type (0 for 4-stroke, 1 for 2-stroke).

8.4 Fuel Level Display Issues

  • Fuel Sensor Setting: Ensure the FUEL-2 fuel sensor setting matches your motorcycle's fuel sensor type (2 for two-line, 3 for three-line).

9. User Tips

  • Initial Power-Up: Always connect the main power wires (black positive, green negative) first to avoid potential issues during initial setup.
  • Parameter Saving: Remember to long-press the left button after adjusting parameters to ensure they are saved.
  • Compatibility: While universal, always verify the physical dimensions and wiring requirements against your specific motorcycle model before purchase and installation.
  • Sensor Importance: The speed sensor is crucial for accurate speed and mileage. If your purchase did not include one, you will need to acquire a compatible sensor.

10. Warranty and Support

For warranty information, please refer to the seller's terms and conditions at the time of purchase. If you encounter any issues not covered in this manual or require further assistance, please contact the ACCESTING Official Store customer support.
