4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your FX 10C intercom unit on your helmet:
- Choose Mounting Location: Select a suitable flat surface on the side of your helmet, typically on the left side, where the unit will not obstruct your vision or movement.
- Attach Mounting Bracket:
- Clip Mounting: Slide the clip mounting bracket between the helmet shell and the inner padding. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- 3M Tape Mounting: Clean the chosen area on the helmet surface thoroughly. Peel off the protective film from the 3M tape bracket and firmly press it onto the helmet for at least 30 seconds. Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to bond before attaching the intercom unit.
- Mount the FX 10C Unit: Slide the FX 10C intercom unit onto the chosen mounting bracket until it clicks securely into place.
- Install Speakers: Open the helmet's inner lining. Attach the 40mm HiFi speakers to the ear pockets using the provided Velcro pads. Ensure they are positioned directly over your ears for optimal sound quality.
- Install Microphone:
- Hard Tube Microphone: For open-face or modular helmets, attach the hard tube microphone to the inside of the helmet near your mouth using Velcro.
- Button Microphone: For full-face helmets, attach the button microphone inside the chin bar, close to your mouth.
- Connect Cables: Route the speaker and microphone cables neatly under the helmet padding to the FX 10C unit. Plug them into the corresponding ports on the intercom unit.
- Cable Management: Use any remaining Velcro or clips to secure loose cables, preventing them from interfering with your comfort or helmet operation.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Operations
- Power On: Press and hold the Power key (center button) until the indicator light turns on.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power key until the indicator light turns off.
- Volume Adjustment: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to increase or decrease the volume.

5.4 2-Way Bluetooth Intercom
For direct two-way communication between two FX 10C units:
- Ensure both units are powered on and not in Mesh mode.
