4. Setup and First Use
4.1 Battery Installation and Charging
- Locate the battery compartment on the rear of the device.
- Open the battery cover.
- Insert the provided 750mAh lithium battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery cover securely.
- Connect the device to a USB power source using the provided USB charging cable. The battery icon on the display will indicate charging status.

4.2 Power On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the Power & Back button (

5. Operating Modes
5.1 Single Measurement
Press the MEAS button once to turn on the laser. Press it again to perform a single distance measurement. The result will be displayed directly on the screen.

5.2 Continuous Measurement
Enter Continuous mode by pressing the MEAS button. The device will continuously measure and display MAX/MIN results on the screen. Short press MEAS or CLEAR to stop the continuous test.

5.3 Area Measurement
To enter Area measurement mode, short press the Mode Switch button (often represented by a square icon). Then, press MEAS to measure the length and width. The device will automatically calculate and display the area.

5.4 Volume Measurement
If you are in Area function test mode, short press the Mode Switch button one time to enter Volume measurement. You can also short press MEAS to test the length, width, and height. The device will automatically calculate and display the volume.

5.5 Pythagorean Measurement
Under the Pythagorean test, short press the Mode Switch button once to enter the Secondary Pythagorean test function. Press MEAS to measure the length of the hypotenuse (A) and the length of the vertical edge (B). The device will then calculate the length of another vertical side (C).

5.6 Automatic Level and Vertical Measurement
The device features a built-in electronic angle sensor that provides real-time display of the measuring angle. This allows for automatic calculation of horizontal and vertical distances, simplifying complex measurements on uneven surfaces or for determining heights without direct line of sight.
