3. Setup Guide
3.1. App Download and Account Registration
- Download the 'CAM720' App: Search for "CAM720" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or scan the QR code provided in the official PDF user manual.
- Register an Account: Open the app, click "Sign up", enter your email address, set a password, and verify your account.
- Login: Use your registered email and password to log in to the app.
3.2. Powering On and Resetting the Camera
- Power On: Plug the provided power adapter into the camera's power port and connect it to a power outlet.
- Reset Camera: Long-press the reset button (located on the camera body, refer to the product overview image for general location) for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a "Di" sound. The camera will perform a self-inspection after two "Di" sounds.
3.3. WiFi Connection
Important Pre-connection Requirements:
- App Permissions: Ensure GPS and all necessary permissions are enabled for the CAM720 app. For iOS devices, enable location services via Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
- WiFi Network: Ensure your router's WiFi name and password are not longer than 16 characters.
- Proximity: For the initial connection, place the camera close to your WiFi router.
- Same Network: Your mobile phone must be connected to the same WiFi network (2.4Ghz or 5Ghz) that you intend to connect the camera to.
- In the CAM720 app, click the "+" icon to add a new device.
- Select "WiFi connection".
- Check the box confirming you hear the device tone, then tap "Next Step".
- Follow the app's instructions to connect your phone to the camera's temporary WiFi network (usually named "JA-***" or "JAA-***"). After connecting, return to the CAM720 app.
- Enter the correct password for your home WiFi network (the one your phone is connected to). Tap "Next Step".
- Wait patiently for the device to connect. Once successful, the app will indicate "camera is online". You can then click the video feed to view.
3.4. Wired Connection (If Applicable)
If your camera model supports a wired Ethernet connection:
- Plug the power supply and an Ethernet cable into the camera. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to your router's LAN port.
- In the CAM720 app, click the "+" icon and select "network cable connection".
- The app will search for and display the camera's IP address. Select it to add the camera.
- Wait until you hear "camera is online" and the app confirms the connection.
3.5. Bluetooth Configuration (Optional)
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
- After resetting the camera, wait for the "Di" sound twice, indicating it has completed its self-test.
- In the CAM720 app, click "+" and wait 1-2 seconds for the app to automatically search for the camera's Bluetooth signal.
- Select the camera's Bluetooth signal, input your WiFi password, and click "Next".
- Wait patiently during the Bluetooth network configuration. Do not exit the app prematurely.
3.6. Installation
Indoor Camera Installation
The camera can be placed on a desktop, or mounted on the ceiling or wall.
- Wall/Ceiling Mounting: Attach the provided bracket to the desired wall or ceiling location. Mark the positions for drilling holes.
- Drilling: Use a 6mm drill bit to create the holes. Insert the plastic expansion pipes into the drilled holes.
- Secure Bracket: Align the bracket with the holes and tighten the screws to secure it firmly.
- Attach Camera: Hold the camera body and turn it tightly onto the secured bracket until it clicks into place.
Outdoor Camera Installation (If applicable to your model)
For models designed for outdoor use, ensure proper bracket assembly and secure mounting.
- Assemble the bracket components (e.g., bracket A with bracket B) by pushing them together.
- Select a suitable outdoor location. Install expansion screws on the wall according to the bracket's requirements.
- Align the assembled bracket with the screws and tighten them securely.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Live View and Control
Once connected, access the live video feed through the CAM720 app.
- Start Live Video: Tap on the camera in your device list to view the live feed.
- PTZ Control: Use the on-screen controls to pan (355° horizontal) and tilt (90° vertical) the camera.
- Voice Intercom (Two-Way Audio): Tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera's speaker. Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's microphone.
- Screenshot: Capture still images from the live feed.
- Screen Record: Record video directly from the live feed to your phone.
- Image Effects: Adjust video quality, brightness, and other image settings.
- Full-Screen View: Switch to full-screen mode for an immersive viewing experience.

4.2. Motion Detection and Auto Tracking

- SD Card Management: Regularly check the status of your Micro SD card in the app. If recording issues occur, try formatting the card or replacing it with a new one.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the camera within the specified temperature range (-10°C to 60°C). Avoid exposing the camera to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
- Power Supply: Always use the approved power adapter. Using incompatible adapters may cause damage or safety hazards.

6.1. Connection Issues
- Failed First Connection: Review the setup steps, especially app permissions (GPS/location) and WiFi requirements (router name/password length, camera proximity to router). Ensure your phone is on the same WiFi network.
- Camera Offline:

- Verify your home network is functioning normally.
- Ensure the camera is within a good WiFi signal area, avoiding thick walls or obstructions.
- If changing routers, delete the camera from the app, reset the camera, and re-add it near the new router.
