1. Introduction

The HLK-RW01 is a professional remote control terminal designed by Hi-Link Electronics. This device allows you to remotely control a relay via a mobile application (APP) and supports smart voice control through platforms like TmallGenie and Alexa. It offers three operational modes: default, jog, and timing, and includes a power-off memory function for enhanced convenience and reliability.

2. Safety Information

  • Always disconnect power before performing any installation, wiring, or maintenance on the device.
  • Ensure all wiring is performed by a qualified professional if you are unsure about electrical connections. Improper wiring can lead to electric shock or device damage.

4. Setup

4.1 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the diagram below for correct wiring. Ensure the load/device current does not exceed 16A. Only one type of power supply (AC 110-240V, DC 24-240V, or DC 12V) should be used at a time.

Important Note: Do not use multiple power supply modes simultaneously. Avoid metal shielding on the antenna part of the module.

4.2 App Installation

To control the HLK-RW01, you need to install the "Cloud Intelligence" APP on your smartphone.

  1. Scan the QR code below with your smartphone camera to download and install the Cloud Intelligence APP. Alternatively, search for "Cloud Intelligence" in your device's APP store.

4.3 Device Pairing and Network Configuration

Follow these steps to connect your HLK-RW01 to your Wi-Fi network and pair it with the Cloud Intelligence APP:

  1. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth (BLE) function is enabled and connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The HLK-RW01 only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the Cloud Intelligence APP. If it's your first time using it, you will need to register an account and sign in.
  3. In the APP, click "Add device". The app will default to "Autodiscover". Click the "+" icon next to the discovered HLK-RW01 device to add it.

  5. Note: The first time the device is powered on, it enters distribution network mode for 2 minutes. If the network configuration times out, you will need to power cycle the device to re-enter distribution network mode.
  6. Enter the network configuration interface. Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and click "Next".

  8. The APP will display the device distribution interface, showing the progress of adding the device. Once successfully added, you can customize the device name and click "Finish".

  10. After completion, the APP will automatically navigate to the device control interface, and your HLK-RW01 will be displayed on the home page.

4.4 Reset Key Function

The reset key is located on the back of the HLK-RW01 module. Its primary function is to restore the device to factory settings.

  • If the device is connected to the network, press and hold the reset key for 5 seconds to cancel the device binding and restore the distribution network mode. This allows you to re-pair the device with a new network or account.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 APP Functions

Once the device is successfully added to the Cloud Intelligence APP, you can utilize the following functions:

  • Turn On/Off Switch: Directly control the relay's power state from the app interface.
  • Cloud Timing Switch: Set schedules for the relay to turn on or off automatically at specific times.

5.2 Manual Switch (SW) Function

The HLK-RW01 includes a manual switch (SW) input for direct control:

  • When the relay is in the open (off) state, connecting the SW pin to the N (neutral/ground) pin of the equipment power supply will close (turn on) the relay. Disconnecting it will open (turn off) the relay.
  • When the relay is in the off state, connecting the SW pin to the N (neutral/ground) pin of the equipment power supply ground will turn on the relay. Disconnecting it will turn off the relay.

5.3 Voice Control

The HLK-RW01 supports integration with smart voice assistants:

  • You can control the relay using voice commands through TmallGenie and Alexa-enabled devices. Refer to the respective voice assistant's documentation for integration steps with third-party smart home devices.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and dry. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself. This may void the warranty and pose safety risks.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device not connecting to Wi-Fi:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The device does not support 5GHz networks.
    • Check if the Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable in the device's location. Avoid placing the device inside metal enclosures or other metal containers that can block the signal.
    • If network configuration fails, check your Wi-Fi router and try the pairing process again. You may need to power cycle the HLK-RW01 to re-enter distribution network mode.
  • Device unresponsive:
    • Check the power supply to the HLK-RW01.
    • Verify that your smartphone has an active internet connection and that the Cloud Intelligence APP is functioning correctly.
    • Try restarting the Cloud Intelligence APP.
  • Need to re-pair or reset:
    • Press and hold the reset key on the back of the device for 5 seconds to factory reset and enter pairing mode.

8. User Tips

  • For optimal performance, ensure your Wi-Fi router is within a reasonable range of the HLK-RW01 module.
  • When setting up, temporarily disable 5GHz Wi-Fi on your router if you encounter issues, to ensure your phone connects to the 2.4GHz band.
  • If you plan to use voice control, ensure your TmallGenie or Alexa device is properly linked to your Cloud Intelligence account.
