2. Safety Precautions
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes.
- Do not press buttons underwater, especially in hot water, as this can compromise water resistance.
- Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields to prevent malfunction.
- Clean the watch with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using chemical cleaners.
- While the watch is 50M water resistant, it is not suitable for deep diving or hot water activities like showering or sauna.
3. Watch Components and Functions

The SKMEI 1455 watch features four buttons and a digital display:
- EL LIGHT Button (Top Left): Activates the backlight.
- MODE Button (Bottom Left): Cycles through different modes (Time, Stopwatch, Alarm Setting).
- START/STOP Button (Top Right): Used to start/stop functions (e.g., stopwatch) or adjust values during setting.
- RESET Button (Bottom Right): Used to reset functions (e.g., stopwatch) or move to the next setting item.
Display Indicators:
- PM: Indicates afternoon hours in 12-hour format.
- MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU: Day of the week indicator.
- Alarm On Icon: Indicates when the alarm is activated.
- Time: Displays hours and minutes.
- Second: Displays seconds.
4. Initial Setup and Time/Date Setting
Before using your watch, you may need to set the current time and date.
4.1 Setting Time and Date
- From the normal time display, press the MODE button three times until the seconds start flashing. This indicates you are in time setting mode.
- Press the RESET button to cycle through the settings in the following order: Seconds → Hours → Minutes → Month → Date → Day of the Week → 12/24 Hour Format.
- While a digit is flashing, use the START/STOP button to adjust the value.
- Once all settings are adjusted, press the MODE button to return to the normal time display.
4.2 12/24 Hour Format
During the time setting process, when the 12/24 hour format is flashing, press the START/STOP button to toggle between 12-hour (with PM indicator) and 24-hour formats.
5. Operating Functions

5.1 Backlight (EL Light)
To illuminate the display in low-light conditions, press the EL LIGHT button (Top Left). The backlight will stay on for a few seconds.

5.2 Stopwatch (Chronograph)
- From the normal time display, press the MODE button once to enter Stopwatch mode. The display will show '00:00:00'.
- Press the START/STOP button to start the stopwatch.
- Press the START/STOP button again to pause the stopwatch.
- Press the RESET button to reset the stopwatch to '00:00:00'.
- Press the MODE button to exit Stopwatch mode and return to the normal time display.
5.3 Alarm Setting
- From the normal time display, press the MODE button twice to enter Alarm Setting mode. The hour digits will flash.
- Press the START/STOP button to adjust the hour.
- Press the RESET button to switch to minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
- Press the START/STOP button to adjust the minutes.
- Press the MODE button to exit Alarm Setting mode.
5.4 Activating/Deactivating Alarm
In the normal time display, press and hold the START/STOP button, then press the RESET button to toggle the alarm on or off. The alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
5.5 Water Resistance
The watch is rated for 50M (5ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, such as washing hands, exposure to rain, and swimming in shallow water. It is not recommended for diving, snorkeling, or hot water activities like showering or bathing, as steam and hot water can damage the seals.
