4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Before Installation
- Ensure you have a stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Download the BlitzWolf, Smart Life, or Tuya APP from your smartphone's app store.
- Turn off the main power supply at the circuit breaker before starting any wiring.
4.2 Wiring Diagram
The BW-SS5 module supports both 1-Gang and 2-Gang configurations for controlling lights. Refer to the diagrams below for correct wiring.
Terminal Descriptions:
- N: Neutral wire input
- L: Live wire input
- L1: Output for Load 1 (e.g., light 1)
- L2: Output for Load 2 (e.g., light 2) - Only for 2-Gang configuration
- S1: Input for physical switch 1
- S2: Input for physical switch 2 - Only for 2-Gang configuration
Installation Steps:
- Power Off: Ensure the main power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Connect Wires:
- Connect the Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires from your mains supply to the corresponding L and N terminals on the module.
- Connect the Live wire to your light fixture(s) to the L1 (and L2 for 2-Gang) terminals on the module.
- Connect your physical wall switch(es) to the S1 (and S2 for 2-Gang) terminals.
- Ensure all connections are secure.
- Mount Module: Place the module inside the wall box behind your existing switch. Its compact size (46x46x18mm with clip) is designed for this purpose.
- Restore Power: Turn the main power supply back on.
4.3 App Pairing
- Open the BlitzWolf/Smart Life/Tuya APP on your smartphone.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. You may need to put the switch module into pairing mode (often by rapidly toggling the connected physical switch or holding a button on the module if available, refer to app instructions for specific pairing method).
- Once paired, you can rename the device and assign it to a room.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Manual Control
You can still use your existing physical wall switch(es) to turn the connected light(s) on or off. The smart module works in conjunction with the physical switch.
5.2 APP Remote Control
After successful pairing, open the BlitzWolf/Smart Life/Tuya APP to control your lights remotely.
- On/Off: Tap the virtual switch icons to toggle lights on or off.
- Group Control: Create groups within the app to control multiple lights or smart modules simultaneously. This allows you to power on/off all lights in a group at once.
- Timing Switch: Set schedules for your lights to automatically turn on or off at specific times or based on your routine.
- Countdown: Use the countdown feature to automatically turn off lights after a set duration.
- Automatic Scenes: Configure custom scenes, such as "Good Morning" to turn on lights gradually, or "Good Night" to turn them off. You can also set lights to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise.
5.3 Voice Control
The BW-SS5 module is compatible with popular voice assistants (e.g., Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant) when integrated through the BlitzWolf/Smart Life/Tuya APP.
To enable voice control:
- Link your BlitzWolf/Smart Life/Tuya account to your voice assistant app (e.g., Alexa app, Google Home app).
- Discover devices within the voice assistant app.
- Use voice commands such as "Alexa, turn on [Light Name]" or "Hey Google, turn off [Light Name]".
5.4 Device Sharing
Share control of your smart switch module with family members through the app, allowing everyone to adjust the lights from their smartphones.
6. Maintenance
- Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Ensure the device is kept within the specified operating temperature range (-10~40℃).
- Regularly check for firmware updates in the app to ensure optimal performance and security.

7. Troubleshooting
- Q: The module is not responding to APP commands.
