3. Setup: Cloning Your Remote Control
The Scimagic-RC Universal Garage Remote Control Duplicator supports "Face-To-Face Cloning" for quick and easy duplication of existing remote controls. Please follow these steps carefully:
3.1. Clearing Existing Codes (Important First Step)
- Press and hold the 'A' and 'B' buttons simultaneously on your new Scimagic-RC remote.
- Keep holding until the LED indicator flashes rapidly (usually 3 times), then release both buttons.
- Press the 'A' button again and hold it, while repeatedly pressing the 'B' button three times.
- The LED indicator should flash rapidly, confirming that all existing codes have been cleared. If the LED does not flash rapidly, repeat the process.
After clearing, pressing any button on the new remote should result in a single flash, indicating no code is stored.
3.2. Face-to-Face Cloning Procedure
- Place your original remote control and the new Scimagic-RC remote control side-by-side, as close as possible.
- Press and hold the button on your original remote that you wish to clone. The LED on the original remote should light up.
- Simultaneously, press and hold the corresponding button on your new Scimagic-RC remote where you want to store the code.
- Keep both buttons pressed. The LED on the Scimagic-RC remote will first flash slowly, then rapidly. This indicates successful cloning.
- Release both buttons. The code for that button is now stored.
- Repeat this process for any other buttons you wish to clone (up to four different codes).
Note for Rolling Code Remotes: For rolling code remotes, the cloned remote cannot be used immediately after face-to-face cloning. It will require an additional programming step directly on your garage door/gate receiver unit. Refer to your receiver's manual for specific instructions on how to pair a new remote control. Typically, this involves pressing a 'learn' or 'program' button on the receiver and then pressing the desired button on your newly cloned Scimagic-RC remote.

4. Operating Instructions
Once successfully cloned and, if necessary, programmed to your receiver (for rolling code systems), operating your Scimagic-RC Universal Garage Remote Control is straightforward:
- Activation: Simply press the corresponding button on the Scimagic-RC remote that you have programmed for your garage door, gate, or other device.
- Multi-Device Control: Each of the four buttons (A, B, C, D) can be programmed to control a different device or function. This allows you to consolidate up to four original remotes into one convenient Scimagic-RC unit.
5. Maintenance
5.1. Battery Replacement
The remote control is powered by a CR2032 3V battery. If the LED indicator on the remote becomes dim or fails to light up, it's time to replace the battery.
- Carefully open the remote control casing.
- Remove the old CR2032 battery.
- Insert a new CR2032 battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the remote control casing securely.
5.2. General Care
- Although the remote has an IPX6 water resistance rating, meaning it can withstand strong jets of water, avoid prolonged submersion or exposure to extreme conditions to ensure longevity.
- Clean the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
6. Troubleshooting
- Cloning Fails:
- Ensure the new remote's codes are cleared before attempting to clone.
- Verify that the original remote's battery is not low, as this can affect signal strength.
- Try different positions for the original and new remote during cloning (e.g., back-to-back, slightly apart).
- Ensure you are pressing and holding both buttons simultaneously and releasing only after the new remote's LED flashes rapidly.
- Confirm your original remote is not on the list of incompatible models below.
- Cloned Remote Not Working (Rolling Code):
- If your original remote uses a rolling code system, the cloned remote requires an additional programming step with your garage door/gate receiver. Consult your receiver's manual for specific pairing instructions.
- Incompatible Remote Controls:
The following remote controls are known to be incompatible and cannot be cloned by this device:
- SCS 433
- JCM 868
- HORMANN BS series
- SOMMER TX55 868
- ECA 433
- Alutech AT-4
- Motorline
7. User Tips
- Optimal Cloning Distance: While face-to-face is recommended, sometimes a slight distance (e.g., 1-2 cm) between the remotes can improve cloning success, especially if the original remote has a strong signal.
- Test After Cloning: Always test the newly cloned button(s) immediately after the cloning process to ensure successful duplication before relying on the remote.
- Labeling: If you clone multiple devices to different buttons, consider using small labels or a marker to identify which button controls which device for quick reference.
