2. Model Variations

The iSinbox Portable Projector is available in two main variants: the P2 MINI and the X8. While both offer excellent projection capabilities, they have key differences in connectivity and features:

  • P2 MINI: Features HDMI input for wired connections but does NOT include Bluetooth functionality.
  • X8: Includes Bluetooth functionality and runs on an Android 7.1 system, but does NOT feature an HDMI input.

4.1 P2 MINI Projector

4.2 Ports and Connections (P2 MINI)

4.3 X8 Projector Overview

4.4 Ports and Connections (X8 Variant)

The X8 projector provides the following ports:

  • USB Ports (x2): For easy reading of HD videos and other media from USB drives.
  • 3.5mm Headphone/Speaker Jack: For connecting external audio devices.
  • 5.5mm DC Power Port: For connecting the power adapter.

Note: The X8 variant does NOT include an HDMI port.

5. Setup

5.1 Placement and Projection Distance

Place the projector on a stable, flat surface. The projection distance determines the screen size. The projector supports an adjustable image size of 60-120 inches with a 1.2:1 projection ratio.

5.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the power cable to the 5.5mm DC power port on the projector.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable power outlet (DC110V-240V).
  3. Press the power button on the projector or the remote control to turn it on.

5.3 Focus Adjustment

The projector features electric focus. Use the remote control to adjust the focus until the image is clear and sharp. There is no need for manual adjustment on the lens itself.

5.4 Keystone Correction

The projector supports electronic keystone correction. If the projected image appears trapezoidal, use the remote control to access the keystone correction settings and adjust the image geometry until it is rectangular.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Connecting External Devices

  • HDMI (P2 MINI only): Connect your device (e.g., laptop, game console) to the projector's HDMI port using the provided HD cable. Select the HDMI input source from the projector's menu.
  • USB: Insert a USB drive into one of the USB ports to play media files directly. Navigate through the projector's interface to select and play your content.

6.2 Wireless Screen Mirroring

Both P2 MINI and X8 models support wireless screen mirroring for iOS and Android devices. This allows you to mirror your phone screen for TikTok, gaming, or watching TV series on a large display.

For X8, you can also choose 'Phone screen projection' which displays only the specified video on your phone, allowing normal operation on your phone simultaneously.

6.3 Wi-Fi Connection

Both models feature 2.4GHz+5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi for fast and stable wireless connectivity. Navigate to the network settings in the projector's menu to connect to your Wi-Fi network.

6.4 Audio Output

You can connect external headphones or speakers to the 3.5mm audio jack for an enhanced sound experience. The P2 MINI features 5W high-power speakers with bass diaphragm for strong bass and surround sound. The X8 also includes independent stereo speakers.

6.5 Remote Control

Use the included remote control to navigate menus, adjust settings (like focus and keystone), change input sources, and control playback.

6.6 Electronic Zoom / Screen Scaling

The projector supports electronic zoom and 100-50-100 overall screen scaling, allowing you to adjust the image size without moving the projector. This is particularly useful for long-distance projection or fitting the image into small spaces.

6.7 X8 Specific Features (Android 7.1 & Bluetooth)

The X8 variant comes with an integrated Android 7.1 operating system, providing a smart interface for direct access to apps and content. It also includes Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to pair with Bluetooth speakers or headphones wirelessly.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to gently wipe the projector lens. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cloths.
  • Exterior: Wipe the projector's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water, then wipe dry. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the ventilation grilles are free from dust and obstructions to prevent overheating.

7.2 Storage

When not in use, store the projector in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, consider placing it back in its original packaging to protect it from dust and impacts.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected and the projector is turned on.
  • Check the input source selection (e.g., HDMI, USB, Screen Mirroring) matches your connected device.
  • Verify the connected device is powered on and outputting a signal.
Blurred image
  • Use the remote control to adjust the electric focus until the image is clear.
  • Ensure the projection surface is flat and the projector is stable.
Trapezoidal image
  • Adjust the electronic keystone correction settings via the remote control.
No sound
  • Check the volume level on both the projector and the connected device.
  • Ensure external speakers/headphones are properly connected to the 3.5mm jack (if used).
  • (X8 only) If using Bluetooth audio, ensure the device is correctly paired and connected.
Wi-Fi connection issues
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi router is working and within range.
  • Re-enter the Wi-Fi password carefully.
  • Try restarting both the projector and your Wi-Fi router.
