3.2 App Installation and Connection
- Download MINIEYE App: Search for 'MINIEYE' in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and download the official application.
- Connect via Wi-Fi: Turn on the dashcam. On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the dashcam's 5GHz Wi-Fi network. The network name and password can typically be found on the dashcam's display or in its settings menu.
- Open MINIEYE App: Launch the app. It should automatically detect and connect to your dashcam.
- Initial Settings: Within the app, you can adjust various settings such as video resolution, recording volume, and anti-collision function sensitivity.
3.3 Parking Monitoring Setup (Optional)
For 24-hour parking monitoring functionality, the MINIEYE Hardwire Kit is required and sold separately. This kit connects directly to your car's fuse box to provide continuous power even when the ignition is off.

Figure 3: Hardwire kit is recommended for 24-hour parking monitor features.
Follow the instructions provided with the hardwire kit for proper installation. Incorrect installation can lead to vehicle battery drain or electrical issues. Professional installation is recommended if you are unsure.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Operation
- Automatic Recording: Once powered on, the dashcam will automatically begin loop recording.
- Loop Recording: The dashcam continuously records video in short segments. When the SD card is full, the oldest footage is overwritten by new recordings. Important events (triggered by G-sensor or manual lock) are protected from being overwritten.
- Display Modes: The mini display can be switched between showing 3D road conditions (visualizing ADAS alerts) or real-time footage from the cameras.
4.2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)
The MINIEYE C2M features an Advanced Driver Assistance System that provides real-time voice and visual alerts to help prevent accidents. The product description mentions 8 ADAS alerts, while diagrams typically illustrate 6 key functions:

Figure 4: Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) alerts.
- Forward Collision Warning (FCW): Alerts you if you are approaching a vehicle ahead too quickly.
- Headway Monitoring Warning (HMW): Monitors the distance to the vehicle in front and warns if the distance becomes unsafe.
- Pedestrian Collision Warning (PCW): Detects pedestrians in your path and warns of potential collisions.
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW): Alerts you if your vehicle drifts out of its lane without signaling.
- Forward Vehicle Start Alert (FVSA): Notifies you when the vehicle in front starts moving after a stop.
- Harsh Acceleration/Cornering/Deceleration: Detects aggressive driving behaviors.
Note: The ADAS function only supports recording resolution under 4K. Ensure your settings are configured appropriately for ADAS to function.
4.3 Parking Monitoring
With the optional hardwire kit installed, the dashcam can monitor your vehicle for 24 hours while parked. It includes:
- Auto Event Detection: Automatically records when an impact or motion is detected.
- Collision Detection: Records footage upon detecting a collision.
- Time-lapse Recording: Records continuously at a low frame rate to save storage space.
- Low Voltage Protection: Automatically shuts off if the car battery voltage drops too low, preventing battery drain.
Notifications for parking events can be received via the MINIEYE app.
4.4 App Control and GPS
The MINIEYE app provides comprehensive control and access to your dashcam:

- Real-time Footage Preview: View live video feed from your dashcam on your phone.
- Video Download: Easily download recorded footage to your smartphone.
- Change Settings: Adjust dashcam settings like video resolution, volume, and ADAS sensitivity.
- OTA Updates: Receive and install firmware updates over the air via Wi-Fi.
- GPS Data: The built-in GPS records your vehicle's location and speed, which is embedded in the video files and accessible via the app.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning the Lens: Regularly clean the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recordings. Avoid abrasive materials.
- Cleaning the Display: Use a soft cloth to wipe the display screen. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- SD Card Maintenance: Periodically format the SD card (at least once a month) through the dashcam's settings or app to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important footage before formatting.
- Firmware Updates: Keep your dashcam's firmware updated via the MINIEYE app to ensure the latest features and bug fixes.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables for wear and tear, especially the power and rear camera cables, to ensure secure connections.
6. Troubleshooting
- Dashcam not powering on: Check the power cable connection to the dashcam and the car's power outlet. Ensure the car's ignition is on if not using a hardwire kit.
- Recording issues (e.g., freezing, corrupted files): Format the SD card. If the issue persists, try a different high-speed (Class 10 or U3) SD card.
- Wi-Fi connection problems: Ensure the dashcam's Wi-Fi is enabled. Restart both the dashcam and your smartphone. Check that you are connecting to the correct 5GHz network.
- ADAS alerts not working: Verify that the ADAS function is enabled in the app settings. Ensure the recording resolution is set to 'under 4K' as ADAS may not function at full 4K resolution. Check camera calibration.
- GPS not recording data: Ensure the dashcam has a clear view of the sky for GPS signal acquisition. Check GPS settings in the app.
- Parking mode not activating: Confirm that the optional hardwire kit is correctly installed and providing continuous power. Check parking mode settings in the app.
