3. Setup and Initial Preparation

Battery Installation

The D4 duplicator comes with a 23A 12V battery pre-installed. If replacement is needed, open the casing carefully and insert a new battery, ensuring correct polarity.

Memory Clearance (Before Duplication)

Before copying any remote control, it is essential to clear the duplicator's memory. Follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously on the D4 duplicator until the LED indicator flashes 3 times.
  2. Release button 2 (while continuing to hold button 1).
  3. Press button 2 slowly for 3 consecutive times. The LED will flash quickly.
  4. Release both buttons. The duplicator's memory is now cleared and ready for copying.

4. Operating Instructions

Duplicating Fixed Code Remote Controls

To duplicate a fixed code remote control:

  1. Place the D4 duplicator and the original transmitter as close to each other as possible, ideally touching.
  2. Press and hold the desired button on the original transmitter.
  3. Simultaneously press and hold the corresponding button on the D4 duplicator.
  4. Continue holding both buttons until the D4 duplicator's LED flashes, indicating successful duplication.
  5. Repeat this process for any other buttons you wish to duplicate.

Duplicating Rolling Code Remote Controls

To duplicate a rolling code remote control:

  1. Place the D4 duplicator and the original transmitter as close to each other as possible, ideally touching.
  2. Press and hold the desired button on the original transmitter.
  3. Simultaneously press and hold the corresponding button on the D4 duplicator.
  4. Continue holding both buttons until the D4 duplicator's LED flashes, indicating successful duplication.
  5. Once one button is duplicated, the remaining buttons will typically generate automatically.
  6. Important: After duplication, you must program the new D4 duplicator to your receiver unit. Refer to your original receiver's manual for specific instructions on how to add a new remote control.
