2. Safety Information

To ensure safe operation, please observe the following precautions:

  • Do not input voltages higher than the specified maximum for each model (e.g., 500V for A1, 620V for S20/A10). Exceeding these limits may damage the meter and pose a safety risk.
  • When measuring high voltage, exercise extreme caution to avoid electric shock. Always ensure proper insulation and personal protective equipment.
  • Disconnect the test leads from the circuit immediately after completing any measurement.
  • Ensure the meter is in the correct measurement mode before connecting to a circuit.
  • Do not use the meter if it appears damaged or if the test leads are compromised.
  • Keep the device away from water and extreme temperatures.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning

Wipe the meter with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from any circuits before cleaning.

8.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the multimeter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For Model A1, remove the AAA batteries if storing for a long time to prevent leakage. For S20 and A10, ensure the built-in battery is charged periodically to maintain its health.

Utilize the provided protective sleeve and storage pouch (for S20 and A10) to protect the device from shocks, friction, and bumps.

9. Troubleshooting

  • No Display/Power On: Check battery level (for S20/A10, ensure it's charged; for A1, replace AAA batteries). Ensure the power button is pressed correctly.
  • Incorrect Readings: Verify that the test leads are properly connected and that the meter is in the correct measurement mode. Ensure the component being tested is isolated from power if necessary.
  • Over-range Display ("OL"): The measured value exceeds the meter's range. Select a higher range if available, or note that the value is beyond the device's capability.
  • Buzzer Not Sounding for Continuity: Ensure the resistance is below the threshold (e.g., 30Ω for S20) for the buzzer to activate.
  • EMF Detection Not Working (S20): Ensure the meter is held correctly with the top induction area facing the source of electromagnetic radiation.

Important Safety Notes:

  • Do not attempt to repair the multimeter yourself. Refer to qualified service personnel.
  • Always adhere to the maximum input voltage ratings to prevent damage to the meter and potential injury.
  • When working with electrical circuits, always prioritize safety.

10. User Tips

  • Versatile Functionality: These multimeters are designed for accurate measurement of capacitance, resistance, and voltage, offering convenience with their compact size and digital displays.
  • Capacitor Measurement: The S20 model can measure capacitors from 0.5μF up to 6000μF, while the A10 handles 1nF to 60mF. Always discharge capacitors before testing.
  • Compact and Portable: The compact design of all models makes them easy to carry for on-the-go electrical work.
  • Clear Display: The EBTN color LCD (S20/A10) and LCD (A1) displays are designed for clear readability, even in varying light conditions.
