Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: The lock is powered by 4 AA batteries, offering up to 180 days of battery life (based on 10 openings/closings per day). Replace batteries when the low power alarm is triggered.
- Emergency Power: In case of complete battery depletion, use a Type-C USB cable to provide emergency power to the external port on the front panel, or use the mechanical key.
- Cleaning: Wipe the lock's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
- Water Resistance: The front panel has an IP66 protection level, making it resistant to dust and strong jets of water. However, avoid submerging the lock or exposing it to extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Lock not responding / No power | Low or dead batteries. | Replace all 4 AA batteries. Use the Type-C emergency power port or mechanical key to open the lock if batteries are completely dead. |
| Fingerprint/Password/Card not recognized | Incorrect input, unregistered user, dirty sensor/card. | Ensure correct input. Clean fingerprint sensor. Re-register user via app if necessary. |
| Automatic lock/unlock not working | Door sensor misalignment or malfunction. | Check alignment of door sensor and magnet. Ensure the sensor is properly connected. |
| Abnormal State Security Alarm triggered | Multiple incorrect unlock attempts, panel tampering, low battery. | Check app for alarm details. Address the cause (e.g., replace batteries, check for tampering). |
| Remote unlock via app not working (Tuya version) | '9#' not pressed on lock, no internet connection, app not active. | Ensure '9#' is pressed on the lock panel. Verify lock's WiFi connection and phone's internet access. |
| Smart speaker integration not working (TT Lock with Gateway) | Gateway not connected, unsupported region, incorrect setup. | Ensure G2 Gateway is properly set up and connected to WiFi. Verify your region supports Alexa/Google Home integration for TT Lock. |

User Tips
- Exterior Use: The front panel of the lock is IP66 waterproof, making it suitable for exterior doors where it may be exposed to weather.
- Always Keep Mechanical Keys: Even with smart features, it's crucial to keep the mechanical keys in a safe, accessible location outside your home for emergency access in case of battery failure or electronic malfunction.
- App Programming: For TT Lock versions, many functions like adding fingerprints, passwords, or IC cards can be done directly through the app, simplifying the setup process compared to operating on the lock itself.
- Gateway for Full Remote Control: If you opt for the TT Lock version and desire full remote control and smart speaker integration (Alexa/Google Home), remember to purchase the G2 Gateway separately.
