3.1 Physical Installation

3.2 App Installation and Wi-Fi Pairing
The smart lock connects to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz only) via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. Follow these steps to pair your device:

- On the smart lock keypad, press the
#key, then1to enter the management settings. - Select option
1to 'Turn on Networking'. The lock will prompt you to wait. - Open the Tuya/Smart Life app. If no devices are added, tap 'Add Device'. If you have existing devices, tap the '+' icon in the top right corner.
- Navigate to 'Camera & Lock' and select 'Lock (Wi-Fi)'.
- Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Tap 'Next'.
- Confirm that the indicator light on the lock is blinking rapidly (EZ Mode). If not, follow the app's instructions to reset the device.

4.3 Automatic Locking and Security Features

5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Management
The smart lock is powered by 4x AA dry batteries (6V). The Tuya app will provide a low battery alarm when the power is critically low. It is recommended to replace batteries promptly upon receiving a low battery notification.
5.2 Emergency Power Supply
In case of a completely drained battery, you can use a micro USB power bank to temporarily power the lock via the USB charging port. This allows you to unlock the door and replace the batteries. Always keep the mechanical backup keys in a safe, accessible location outside the property.
5.3 Cleaning and Weatherproofing
The lock has an IP66 protection level, making it highly resistant to dust and water. To maintain its appearance and functionality, wipe the lock's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

- Lock is unresponsive / Dead battery: Use the mechanical backup key or connect a micro USB power bank to the emergency charging port to provide temporary power.
- Cannot connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. 5GHz networks are not supported. Check your Wi-Fi password and signal strength. Try resetting the lock's networking mode as described in Section 3.2.
- Lockout after incorrect passcodes: The lock will automatically disable input for 5 minutes after 5 incorrect attempts. Wait for the lockout period to expire.
