7. Maintenance

7.1. Battery Care

  • To maximize battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Store the scanner in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • If the scanner emits two beeps, it indicates a low battery. Connect it to a charger immediately.

7.2. Cleaning

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to clean the exterior of the scanner.
  • For the scan window, use a lens cleaning cloth to avoid scratches.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Scanner not decoding barcodes: Ensure the scanner is properly connected (USB, 2.4GHz, or Bluetooth). Check if the barcode type is supported by your model (1D only for C740/C830, 1D & 2D for C750/C990). Some specific barcodes may require programming; refer to the programming manual or contact support.
  • No data transmitted to host device: Verify the connection mode is active and correctly paired. Ensure the cursor is in a text input field on your device.
  • Bluetooth pairing issues: Ensure the scanner is in pairing mode (flashing blue LED). Forget previous pairings on your host device and try reconnecting.
  • Low battery indication: If the scanner beeps twice, it indicates low battery. Connect it to a power source using the provided USB Type-C cable.
  • Scanner not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. If fully charged and still not turning on, contact support.
