2. Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent damage to the device or injury to yourself:

  • Ensure all electrical connections are made by a qualified professional and comply with local electrical codes.
  • Disconnect power before performing any installation or maintenance.

5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Outdoor Station Installation

  1. Based on the outdoor station's dimensions, drill a pre-embedded slot in the desired position on the iron gate or wall.
  2. Place the bottom cover of the outdoor station into the pre-embedded slot. Mark the slot position according to the fixing holes on the back cover, then drill the necessary holes. When embedding the back cover, ensure the depth allows the main board's exposed part to be flush.
  3. Insert a rubber plug into each pre-embedded slot hole. Secure the back cover using the provided screws, aligning them with the holes.
  4. Install the outdoor station onto the bottom cover and fasten it with screws.
  5. The recommended installation height is 1500mm from the ground, with the camera lens as the center.
  6. Avoid installing in areas exposed to rain, direct sunlight, high humidity, or high temperatures.

5.2 Building Installation Wiring

The system supports various configurations for multi-apartment buildings. Ensure proper network cabling (Cat5E/Cat6/Cat6e) and use 48V POE or 12/15V POE switches (100M or Gigabit) for optimal performance and longer cable runs.

5.3 Device Interface and Lock Wiring

The outdoor station features a 7-pin wiring port for connecting to electric locks and other accessories. Refer to the diagram and table below for correct connections.

6. Operation

6.1 Video Intercom

When a visitor presses the call button on the outdoor station, they can enter the room number to call the corresponding indoor monitor. The indoor monitor will connect to the Tuya APP, pushing the video intercom call to the resident's mobile phone.

6.2 Unlocking Methods

The system offers multiple ways to unlock the door:

  • Public Password: Enter the public password (default: 123456) on the outdoor station keypad.
  • IC Card: Swipe a registered IC card on the outdoor station's card reader.
  • Indoor Monitor: Press the 'Unlock' icon on the indoor monitor screen during a call or monitoring.
  • Tuya APP: Press the 'Unlock' icon within the Tuya APP on your mobile device.
  • Control Center: Request the control center to unlock the door.

6.3 Video Surveillance

You can monitor the outdoor station and connected POE cameras at any time:

  • The indoor monitor can display live video from the outdoor station and connected POE cameras.
  • Capture pictures or record videos from the indoor monitor for saving.
  • The control center can also monitor the outdoor station.

6.4 Night Vision White Light Function

When a visitor presses the call button, the photosensitive sensor detects low light conditions, and the white light function activates automatically to provide clear night vision. The white light turns off when sufficient ambient light is detected.

6.5 Secondary Outdoor Doorbell

A secondary outdoor doorbell can be added for each householder. This secondary unit can only call its paired indoor monitor, providing an additional layer of access control for individual apartments.

7. Settings

Important: System settings must be performed by a skilled administrator!

To enter system settings, enter "#" + 6-digit administrator password (default: 666666) + "#" in the standby interface. Then, click the same number on the keypad as before, and press "*" to return to the previous menu.

7.1 Time Settings

Press "1" in the system settings menu to set the time and date of the outdoor station. If connected to an external network, the time will automatically update.

7.2 Volume Setting

Press "2" to adjust the intercom volume.

7.3 Door Magnetic Alarm

Press "3" to enable or disable the door magnetic alarm. The default setting is disabled, with a delay time of 30 seconds. Press "1" to enable, "2" to disable. Press "*" to return.

7.4 Close Lock Delay

Press "4" to set the delay time for the door lock to close. The default delay time is 4 seconds.

7.5 IC Access Card Management

Press "5" to enter IC access card options.

7.5.1 Add IC Card

Press "1" to add an IC card. Each householder can have up to 9 IC cards. First, add the administrator card (room number "0000"). Enter the room number, then place the access control card near the card swiping range. After a beep, the card number will be displayed on the screen.

7.5.2 Delete IC Card

Press "2" to access delete options:

  • 1. Delete a single IC Card: Press "1", input the access control card number to be deleted, or place the card near the swipe range. If the card number does not exist, it will prompt "card number does not exist"; otherwise, "the card has been deleted successfully".
  • 2. Delete all Cards of the room number: Press "2", input the room number, then press "#" to delete all IC access cards for that room. If the room number does not exist, it will prompt "The room number does not exist"; otherwise, "Delete card successfully!".
  • 3. Delete all Cards: Press "3" to delete all user cards from the system.

7.6 Password Settings

Access password settings from the system settings menu.

7.6.1 Disable Unlock Password

Press "1" to disable the public unlock password.

7.6.2 Enable Unlock Password

Press "2" to enable the public unlock password.

7.6.3 Change Unlock Password

Press "3" to change the public unlock password. The default initial unlock password is 123456.

7.6.4 Change Admin Password

Press "4" to set the administrator password. The default initial administrator password is 666666.

7.7 Address Settings

This item typically does not need to be set by the end-user. The address number is 6 bits, representing Building (2-digit), Unit (2-digit), and Serial number (1-digit). For a single building, the building group is 1. The factory default room number is 201011 (Unit 1 of Building 1 of a single building).

7.8 Language Settings

Press "8" to change the language. Select the corresponding number for your desired language, and the outdoor station will restart.

7.9 System Settings (Restore Factory)

Press "9" to display local address, IP address, and version number. Press "1" to confirm restoring factory settings, which will delete all IC cards. Press "2" to return without restoring.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean the outdoor station and indoor monitors with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surfaces. Ensure the camera lens and screen are free from dust and smudges for optimal performance.

8.2 Software Local Upgrade

To upgrade the firmware, insert a TF card containing the new firmware into the designated slot on the device. Follow the on-screen prompts or specific instructions provided with the firmware update.

9. Troubleshooting

  • "Room number does not exist" error: Ensure the correct room number is entered. Verify the room number configuration in the system settings.
  • "Wrong password" error: Double-check the public unlock password or administrator password. If forgotten, the administrator password can be reset via system settings (if accessible) or by contacting technical support.
  • Unregistered IC card: An unregistered card will cause the outdoor station to display a red light and beep 3 times. Ensure the card is properly registered in the system.
  • No video/audio during intercom: Check network connections for both outdoor and indoor units. Ensure power is supplied correctly. Verify camera and microphone settings.
  • Door not unlocking: Check the wiring to the electric lock. Ensure the unlock password or IC card is correct and registered. Verify the lock delay setting.

10. User Tips

  • For optimal security, regularly change the default public unlock password and administrator password.
  • Keep your Tuya APP updated to the latest version to ensure compatibility and access to new features.
  • Consider the system's capacity (up to 240 devices) when planning for large apartment buildings to ensure all units can be accommodated.

This product comes with a one-year warranty from the date of original purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not cover defects caused by buyer misuse, improper installation, or force majeure events.
