8. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common questions and issues you might encounter.

Frequently Asked Questions from users regarding the tablet's operating system, upgrades, and charging.
Figure 8.1: Common User Questions

8.1 Operating System and Upgrades

  • Q: Is the machine a Windows 10 or Windows 11 system?
A: The WinsPad20 comes with Windows 11. While some older versions might have shipped with Windows 10, it is not recommended to upgrade or downgrade the system on your own. Doing so can lead to driver mismatches and issues with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, recording, and keyboard functionality.
  • Q: Can I install a Linux system on my own?
A: No, the drivers for Linux systems have not been tested or adapted. Installing Linux may result in non-functional Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, recording, or keyboard.

8.2 Hardware and Storage

  • Q: Can I upgrade the RAM on my own?
A: No, the RAM is on-board and cannot be upgraded.
  • Q: Can I expand the capacity by replacing the hard drive myself?
A: Yes, you can replace the hard drive, but it requires reinstalling the system and drivers. It is recommended to purchase a high-capacity hard drive configuration directly to avoid this complex process.
  • Q: Is the memory only 32GB?
A: No, the WinsPad20 comes with 128GB of SSD storage.

8.3 Charging Issues

  • Q: Can't charge with another charger?
A: It is crucial to use the provided charger. Other power adapters may have different charging protocols and have not been tested by Adreamer. Using an incompatible charger can lead to charging failure or even risk damaging the machine's motherboard.

8.4 General Performance

  • Q: Is it good for games?
A: The WinsPad20 is designed for general productivity, office tasks, and entertainment. While it can handle casual games, it is not optimized for high-performance gaming.

9. User Tips

  • Use the Original Charger: Always use the charger provided with your WinsPad20 to prevent potential damage and ensure proper charging.
  • Avoid OS Modifications: Do not attempt to upgrade, downgrade, or install alternative operating systems (like Linux) on your own, as this can lead to driver conflicts and render essential features unusable.
  • Leverage 2-in-1 Versatility: Utilize the detachable keyboard and hidden stand for a comfortable laptop-like experience for work, and detach the tablet for portable entertainment.
  • Expand Storage Carefully: If you need more storage, consider using a MicroSD card (up to 128GB) or purchasing a model with higher internal storage, as self-replacing the hard drive requires system reinstallation.
  • Utilize HDMI Output: For presentations or a larger viewing experience, connect your tablet to an external display using the Micro HDMI port.
