4.2 Night Vision Modes
The cameras offer three distinct night vision modes for optimal surveillance in low-light conditions:
- Smart Detection Mode: Automatically switches between IR and full-color night vision based on detected motion.
- IR Mode: Infrared mode provides clear black and white images in complete darkness.
- Full Color Mode: Utilizes white light LEDs to provide full-color images even at night.

Figure 4.2: 3 Kinds of Night Vision Modes - Illustrates the different night vision capabilities of the cameras.
4.3 Motion Tracking and Humanoid Detection
The cameras are equipped with advanced AI functions:
- AI Auto Motion Tracking: The camera can automatically track moving objects within its field of view.
- AI Humanoid Detection: Distinguishes human shapes from other moving objects, reducing false alarms.

Figure 4.3: Motion-Tracking & Humanoid Detection - Shows the camera's ability to track movement and send alerts.
4.4 Two-Way Audio
Communicate directly through the camera using the built-in microphone and speaker. This allows for real-time interaction with visitors or to deter intruders.

Figure 4.4: Two Way Audio - Illustrates the communication capability of the camera.
4.5 SD Card Recording Settings
The cameras support microSD cards up to 128GB for local storage. Ensure the power cable is removed before inserting the microSD card.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Factory Reset
If you encounter persistent issues or wish to reset all settings, you can restore the camera to factory defaults:
- Power on the IP Camera and wait for approximately 30 seconds.
- Locate the RESET button on your camera model (refer to Figure 5.1).
- Press and hold the RESET button for about 15 seconds.
- Release the button. The camera will reset to factory settings (default password:
888888).

Figure 5.1: Camera Reset Button Locations - Shows where to find the reset button on different SriHome camera models.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 SD Card Not Detected
If the system does not detect the SD card, consider the following:
- Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting the SD card.
- Use a Class 10 or above microSD card for optimal read/write speed.
- The SD card might be faulty. Try another card.
- The SD card may not be formatted correctly. Format the SD card via the SriHome app (
Settings->Record Setting->Format SD Card) or refer towww.sricam.com/srihome/downloadfor formatting tools. - The SD card slot on the camera might be malfunctioning.
6.2 Unstable Wi-Fi Connection / Camera Offline
If your camera's Wi-Fi connection is unstable or frequently goes offline:
- Check that the camera's antenna is securely tightened.
- Ensure your wireless router has the maximum transmission power set. Some routers may reduce power, affecting wireless performance.
- Check your Wi-Fi channels. If they are busy, reconfigure your router to 'Automatic' channel selection.
- The camera's IP address might conflict with other devices on your network. Consider setting a fixed IP address for the camera.
- If multiple wireless networks with the same name (SSID) are present (e.g., from a neighbor or a Wi-Fi repeater), devices might connect to the wrong network. Set a unique SSID for your wireless network.
- Verify the Wi-Fi signal strength in the SriHome app. It should ideally be more than 3 bars. A weak signal (less than 3 bars) often indicates the camera is too far from the Wi-Fi router.

Figure 6.1: Wi-Fi Signal Strength Check - App interface to view network settings and Wi-Fi signal strength.
6.3 Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi
If you are unable to set up Wi-Fi for your IP camera:
- All IP cameras support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Some IP cameras do not support 5GHz Wi-Fi. Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz network.
- Check if MAC filtering is enabled on your router. If so, disable it temporarily during camera configuration.
- Ensure your router's DHCP is enabled. After successful setup, you can set a fixed IP address for the camera and then disable DHCP if desired.
- The Wi-Fi encryption should be WPA/WPA2-PSK (AES or TKIP). WEP is an older, less secure technology and is not recommended.
- Set your Wi-Fi channel to 'AUTO' to avoid busy channels.
- If signal is inconsistent, try disconnecting other devices from the network or moving the camera closer to the router.
- If other quality or setup issues persist, perform a factory reset (refer to Section 5.1).
