4. Setup
4.1. Installation
- Mounting the Mirror DVR: Securely attach the mirror DVR to your existing rearview mirror using the provided universal mount/bandages. Ensure it is stable and does not obstruct your view.
- Installing the Rear Camera: Mount the rear camera on the exterior of your vehicle, typically above the license plate. Ensure it has a clear view of the rear.
- Routing Cables: Carefully route the rear camera cable from the back of the car to the front, connecting it to the mirror DVR. Conceal the cable along the car's trim to maintain a neat appearance.


4.2. Wiring
- Power Connection: Connect the cigarette lighter power cord to the mirror DVR and plug it into your car's cigarette lighter socket.
- Rear Camera Wiring: Connect the rear camera cable to the mirror DVR. The reverse trigger wire (red wire on the rear camera cable) should be connected to the positive terminal of your car's reverse light. This enables automatic display of the rear view when shifting into reverse.


4.3. Initial Power On
Once all connections are made, start your vehicle. The mirror DVR should power on automatically. If not, press the power button. The system will load and display the main interface.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Wireless Apple CarPlay Connection
- On the mirror DVR, click the 'Apple CarPlay' widget on the SmartScreen.
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth ON.
- Find the monitor's Bluetooth name (e.g., T86-154C71) in your phone's available devices list and pair with it.
- When your iPhone prompts "Use CarPlay with 'SmartScreen'?", select "Use CarPlay".
- Connection succeeded.

5.2. Wireless Android Auto Connection
- On the mirror DVR, click the 'Android Auto' widget on the SmartScreen.
- On your Android phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth ON.
- Find the monitor's Bluetooth name (e.g., T86-154C71) in your phone's available devices list and pair with it.
- Allow contacts to make calls and complete the pairing process.
- Connection succeeded.

5.3. DVR Functions
Access the DVR settings by tapping the gear icon on the main screen. Here you can adjust various recording parameters:
- Record Resolution: Select between 720P+720P or 1080P+1080P (front+rear).
- Split Time: Set the duration for each video segment (e.g., 1 min, 3 min, 5 min).
- Image Mirror: Turn on/off image mirroring for the display.

- Tune your car's factory radio to the same frequency.
- Once connected, all audio from the mirror DVR will be transmitted through your car speakers.

5.5. Voice Control

5.6. Reversing Assistance

5.7. Loop Recording
The device continuously records video. When the memory card (TF card) is full, the oldest video files will be automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures that recording never stops due to a full card.

5.8. Adjustable Field of View
You can manually adjust the display range of the front and rear cameras by swiping up and down on the touch screen. Swipe left and right to switch between front, rear, or combined views.


5.9. WDR (Wide Dynamic Range)
The built-in WDR function compensates for shadows and overexposure, providing stable and clear images in all lighting situations, including strong backlighting. This helps in recording details like license plates at night.
