3.3. Pairing with Motor

The remote controller communicates with the motor using RF433 fixed code technology. The exact pairing procedure may vary slightly depending on your specific Dooya curtain motor model. Generally, the steps involve:

  1. Prepare the Motor: Put your Dooya motor into pairing mode. This usually involves pressing a programming button on the motor itself or cycling its power. Refer to your motor's instruction manual for precise details.
  2. Initiate Pairing on Remote: On the remote controller, there is typically a hidden programming button or a specific button sequence to initiate pairing. For DC1602, this might involve a combination of channel and control buttons.
  3. Confirm Pairing: Once the motor is in pairing mode and the remote is transmitting, the motor should respond (e.g., jog slightly, beep) to confirm successful pairing.
  4. Test Functionality: After pairing, test the Up, Down, and Stop functions to ensure proper control.

Important: This remote is compatible only with Dooya RF433 fixed code motors. It will not work with rolling code RF433 motors.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Control Buttons (All Models)

  • Up Arrow (⌃): Moves the curtain/blind upwards or opens it.
  • Down Arrow (⌄): Moves the curtain/blind downwards or closes it.
  • Stop/Pause Button (– or ⏸): Stops the curtain/blind at its current position.

4.2. Channel Selection (DC1660 & DC1602)

For models DC1660 (2 channels) and DC1602 (15 channels), you can select which motor or group of motors to control.

  • DC1660: Use the channel selection buttons (often labeled with arrows or symbols like < >) to switch between the two available channels.
  • DC1602: Use the 'Convert button for channel' (often labeled < >) to cycle through the 15 channels. The currently selected channel number will be displayed on the screen.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Battery Replacement

When the remote's performance degrades or the display (for DC1602) becomes dim, it's time to replace the CR2450 button battery. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.1.

5.2. Cleaning

Wipe the remote controller with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surface or internal components.

5.3. Environmental Conditions

Operate and store the remote within the specified working temperature range of -10°C to 50°C. Avoid exposing the remote to extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.

6. Troubleshooting

Remote Not Responding:

  • Check Battery: Ensure the CR2450 battery is correctly installed and not depleted. Replace if necessary.
  • Verify Pairing: Confirm that the remote is properly paired with the motor. If unsure, attempt to re-pair the remote following the motor's instructions.
  • Motor Power: Ensure the curtain motor is powered on and functioning correctly.
  • Obstructions: Check for any physical obstructions between the remote and the motor that might block the RF signal.

Limited Range:

  • Battery Level: A low battery can reduce the remote's effective range. Replace the battery.
  • Interference: Other RF devices or thick walls can interfere with the signal. Try operating the remote closer to the motor.
  • Environmental Factors: Extreme temperatures can sometimes affect performance.

Compatibility Issues:

  • Ensure your motor is a Dooya RF433 fixed code motor. This remote is not compatible with rolling code RF433 motors or motors from other brands unless explicitly stated by the manufacturer.

7. User Tips

  • Always keep a spare CR2450 battery on hand for quick replacement.
  • For multi-channel remotes (DC1660, DC1602), clearly label your channels to easily identify which motor each channel controls.
  • When pairing, ensure you are close to the motor to establish a strong initial connection.
  • If you experience intermittent control, try moving the remote to a different position or angle.

8. Warranty and Support
