This sensor integrates seamlessly with the Tuya Smart Life platform via a Zigbee 3.0 network, allowing for remote monitoring, real-time alerts, and the creation of smart scenarios with other compatible devices.

Important: This device requires a Tuya Zigbee Gateway/Hub to function. It does not connect directly via Wi-Fi.

1. Install Battery: Open the sensor casing and insert the CR2450 button battery, ensuring correct polarity. The device will automatically enter pairing mode upon first power-on.

3. Access Gateway: In the app, navigate to your already configured Tuya Zigbee Gateway.
4. Add Sub-device: Within the gateway interface, select the option to "Add new devices" or "Add Sub device".
5. Reset Sensor: If the sensor is not automatically discovered or if you need to re-pair it, use the provided reset pin to press and hold the reset button on the sensor for more than 3 seconds. The blue indicator light on the sensor will begin to flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
6. Discovery: The app will automatically search for nearby Zigbee devices.
7. Confirmation: Once discovered, the system will automatically add the device. You will receive a notification in the app confirming successful addition.

The compact design allows for flexible placement. Use the provided double-sided adhesive to mount the sensor on a wall, ceiling, or place it on a table or shelf. Consider the 120° detection angle and 5-8m range when choosing a location to ensure optimal coverage.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Motion Detection and Alerts

Once successfully paired and installed, the PIR motion detector will continuously monitor its environment. When human or animal movement is detected within its 120° angle and 5-8 meter range, it will trigger an event. The Tuya app will then push a warning message or alert notification to your smartphone, keeping you informed of activity at home, even when you are away.

6.2 Smart Scenarios and Automation

Leverage the Tuya Smart Life platform to create intelligent automation routines:

• Automatic Lighting: Link the PIR sensor with a smart light strip or smart switch. When motion is detected, the lights can automatically turn on, providing convenience in dark areas like hallways or bedrooms at night.



• Security Monitoring: Pair the sensor with a smart camera. Upon motion detection, the camera can automatically start recording, providing visual verification of events.

7.1 Battery Replacement

The sensor is powered by a CR2450 button battery, which typically lasts about 1 year with 10 detections per day. When the battery is low, the app may notify you, or you might notice a decrease in sensor responsiveness. To replace the battery:

2. Remove the old CR2450 battery.
3. Insert a new CR2450 battery, ensuring the positive (+) side faces up.
4. Close the sensor casing securely.

• Device not found during pairing / App not finding device:
  • Ensure your Tuya Zigbee Gateway is properly set up, powered on, and connected to your home network.
  • Confirm the sensor has a fresh CR2450 battery installed and is powered on.
  • Make sure the sensor is in pairing mode (blue light flashing) by pressing the reset button for more than 3 seconds.
  • Bring the sensor closer to the Zigbee Gateway during the pairing process.
  • Ensure your mobile phone is connected to the same network as the gateway.
• No notifications received:
  • Check your smartphone's notification settings for the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app to ensure alerts are enabled.
