2.3 GSM Signal Checking

Before final installation, check the GSM signal strength to ensure optimal performance:

  • In setup status, input [81] then [#].
  • The main unit will beep and display 00+XX (where XX is the signal intensity).
  • The intensity should be between 07-31. If it's less than 07, consider relocating the panel.

2.4 Coding Remote Controllers and Detectors

Remote controllers and wireless detectors must be coded to the alarm host to function correctly.

Coding Remote Controllers:

  1. Enter setup state (see Section 3.1).
  2. Input [0201].
  3. Press any button on the wireless remote controller.
  4. The main unit will beep and announce "coding completed".

Coding Wireless Detectors:

  1. Enter setup state (see Section 3.1).
  2. Input [0202].
  3. Trigger the wireless detector (e.g., open a door sensor, activate a PIR sensor).
  4. The main unit will beep and announce "coding completed".

Figure 4: Wired terminal block diagram for connecting external sensors and siren.

Connect wired sensors (e.g., loudspeaker, wire PIR sensor, wire siren, wire water sensor, wire smoke sensor, wire glass sensor) to the corresponding terminals (LB+, LB-, GND, Z1-Z7, SP-, SP+).

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Entering/Exiting Setup Mode

  • Enter Setup: In disarm status, input your 4-digit password (default: 8888) and press [#]. The system will announce "please enter instruction" and the [SET] indicator will light up.
  • Exit Setup: Press [*] then [#]. The system will emit a long beep and return to disarm state.

3.2 Arming and Disarming the System

The system has three main arming modes:

  • Out Arm: Guards all around your house when everyone is out. All detectors are active. Activate by pressing the Out Arm icon button on the keypad or remote.
  • Home Arm: For safety when someone is home. Activates peripheral sensors (door, window, balcony) but bypasses indoor detectors to prevent false alarms. Activate by pressing the Home Arm icon button on the keypad or remote.
  • Disarm: Stops the alarm and puts the system in a non-warning state. Detectors will not trigger an alarm (except 24-hour zones). Disarm by inputting your password and pressing [#] on the keypad, or pressing the Disarm icon button on the remote.

3.3 Phone and SMS Functions

Setting Alarm Phone Numbers:

The system can store up to 6 phone numbers for alarm calls and 3 numbers for alarm SMS.

  • In setup state, input [51] to [56] for alarm call numbers, or [57] to [59] for SMS numbers.
  • Input the desired phone number and press [#]. The system will confirm with a beep and "setting completed".

Answering Alarm Calls:

When the system calls a preset number, you can answer and interact:

  • Press [*] to read alarm information.
  • Press [1] to arm and stop calling users.
  • Press [2] to disarm and stop calling users.
  • Press [3] to turn off the siren and monitor the scene for 30 seconds.
  • Press [4] for a 30-second two-way intercom.

System Dialing Function:

In disarm status, you can use the main unit as a telephone:

  • Dial the desired telephone number on the keypad.
  • Press the Call icon button to initiate the call.
  • Press the Call icon button again to end the call.

3.4 Timing Settings

You can set the system to arm or disarm automatically at specific times.

  • Timely Arm: In setup state, input [33] to [35], then enter the hour (AA) and minute (BB) for arming, followed by [#].
  • Timely Disarm: In setup state, input [36] to [38], then enter the hour (AA) and minute (BB) for disarming, followed by [#].
  • Timing Control: In setup state, input [39], then [1] to enable or [0] to disable timely arm/disarm, followed by [#].

  • Change Program Password: In setup state, input [31], then the new 4-digit password, followed by [#]. This password is used to enter setup mode.

Note: The operation password and the programming password cannot be the same.

3.6 Other Functions

  • Artificial Recording: In setup state, input [701] then [#]. The unit will beep, record for 10 seconds, then replay the recorded voice.
  • Siren Setting: In setup state, input [75], then [0] for siren off or [1] for siren on, followed by [#]. Default is siren off.
  • Emergency Help: Press the Emergency icon button on the keypad, remote, or wireless panic button to trigger an immediate alarm call to preset numbers.
  • Alarming Record Checking: In disarm state, input [*0#] to check the alarm history.

4. Maintenance

4.1 System Checking

Regular maintenance is crucial for ensuring the alarm system operates reliably. Perform thorough tests periodically:

  • Main Unit: Check if it can arm/disarm normally, dial numbers for alarms, receive wireless signals, and if the backup battery is working.
  • Detectors: Trigger wireless detectors to confirm they alarm normally. Check all detector batteries for low voltage. Verify wireless detectors send signals to the main unit.
  • Frequency: Perform a thorough test on the main unit every three months. Check detectors at least monthly, or as frequently as possible.

4.2 Power Outages Alarm

The G2B/M2B system features a built-in rechargeable battery that provides continuous operation during external power supply interruptions. In case of a power outage, the system will automatically switch to battery power and send an SMS notification to your configured numbers.

5. Troubleshooting

  • No Alarm Trigger: Ensure sensors are correctly coded and have working batteries. Check the defense zone programming to ensure the zone is not bypassed or set to a non-alarming mode.
  • No SMS/Call Notification: Verify that the SIM card is properly inserted, has credit, and the alarm phone/SMS numbers are correctly configured. Check GSM signal strength.
  • False Alarms: Ensure sensors are installed correctly and not in areas prone to false triggers (e.g., direct sunlight for PIR, loose windows for door sensors). Consider adjusting defense zone programming.
  • System Unresponsive: Check power supply and backup battery. Perform a factory reset if necessary (see Section 3.1).

Important Notes:

  • Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the products without permission to avoid accidents or faults.
  • Avoid dropping the product on hard surfaces.
  • Do not set emergency numbers (e.g., 110, 119) as alarm phone numbers without proper authorization.
